should such cos be allowed to do business in india?
writer's integrity is not the point, but interpretation and his insistence that source of info be divulged leaves very fowl taste in the mouth.
the intelligentsia may miss the wood for trees but, LCD of indian population hopefully will not be deflected by the author's opinion.
this article coming on the day govt.of mah. rejected adarsh report, only proves writer is just score a point
and nothing more.

Black money and Gove

Prof R Vaidyanathan's demand to reveal the source of information is unnecessary as the silent reaction of the Govt confirms that the data Disclosed by Kejriwal is so far not disputed either by the Govt or the parties accused of stashing the money. Vaidyanathan Should know by now that Govt had not shared complete information with him while asking him to prepare a note on Black money.
Instead of asking Kejriwal to reveal the source, he should, instead, ask the Govt, why they concealed part of the data received from HSBC?

Insane Questioning ...??
by sanjiv k on Nov 12, 2012 01:42 PM  | Hide replies

Instead of questioning Chidambaram , Moily , Krishna , Karunanidhi , Antony & simllar rots like Vaidyanathan is Trying to Hijack the Monsterous Issue of Black Money. Rediff's intentions are equally questionable.

@Sanjiv
--------
we should respect everyones opinion
Previous occassions ,NDA govt has asked IIM professor to do a study and submit report

If Iam not wrong sri Vadyanathan is one such professor and he has his opinion ,views based on his research

so actvists resist the temptation to view everyone that express opnion as not against Corruption .no that is not the case

That is why please resist from Individual names and instead focus on empowering our Institutions like CBI,CVC etc

next also let us get reforms with National Judicial Commission etc

we must also work with Govt to make sure
Anganwadi workers deliver services
Citizen Charters enacted as part of Lokpal
decentralisation of power so that Panchayats and Muncipal councils are empowered as well

@Indian Industry is vital to Jobs and Economy
by rama anne on Nov 12, 2012 08:32 AM

I live outside India and can see whole Global Economy

I see Global Financial Crisis and also see Geo Politics

so activists must also know that Indian Industry is vital to Indian Economy and Jobs

so Activist must be careful and concentrate on changes to allow Systematic Changes

so if we empower our Institutions like CBI,CVC and get good Lokpal ,IT DOES not matter who gets power of the Govt ,BJP or Congress

we know that DEMOCRATIC INSTITUTIONS are empowered and they will do the job

That is what we must realise and works achieving

when we get those Institutions empowered ,we can work for
National Judicial Commission
Police Integrity Commission
Electrol reforms (mixed proportionate electrol systems)
Decentralisation of Funds allocated and power

I also saw comments here about Rediff
Rediff is not the issue

if activists work United ,selfless and with solid vision and Goals
System change will help a lot and is correct way ,so work for LOKPAL bill and make it a reality

@Chopra
----
not correct sri Vaidyanathan was also asked to a report by sri LK Advaniji previously

sri Vaidyanathan did make some studies

please be patient ,answer back
with logic ,but merely making allegations back will not help and it shows immaturity as well

@Need Institutions will empower we need LOKPAL
by rama anne on Nov 12, 2012 08:25 AM

Dear Fellow indians
-------------------------------------
First of all you must remember whenver the Corruption issue is raised

the burecrats blames the Minister
Minister blames Corporates etc

But we must bear in the mind that
LICENSE RAJ has occupied a large part ,also our Institutions have not been empowered

That is why we must empower Institutions
I saw lots of debate ,critics said LOKPAL is no magic bullet etc

yes - E-tenders ,E-Auctions will help
but that alone will not suffice we need to make
CBI autnomous yet accoutable
LOKPANEL - chosen by a collegium of PM,Leader of Opposition ,Chief Justice ,plus speaker of Loksabha and Rajya sabha Chairman

That LOKPANEL can have retired ane eminent Supreme Court Judges and even Eminent citizens like Lyngodh etc who have good public or private service of 10-15 years

CBI plus Cvc empowered with its own Budget allocated anually ,its personnel
have Cyber experts
Forenisc experts
plus Domain experts in politics ,banking and accounting ,industry etc

This empowered agencies will make LAW ENFORCEMENT swift and quick

This will help CORRUPTION to be checkes and Indian citizens confidence in Govt will increase
such Confidence will yeild better productivity and helps build a greater nation where Democracy will deliver for all citizens
