Flop show in Tamil Nadu . We are sensible people as we know that shutting ourselves down is like Self destruct . We have braced ourselves for further hikes which will happen in due course of time

What do you expect us to do ? Start a crib session . Petrol hike is not exclusively due to a government 's fault . If we had been sensible we would had been conservative in the usage of scarce fuel . Time for all of us to wake up to reality lest the fuel price might have to be hiked further if there is not respite

This is the problem. For a problem created by govt, you are blaming yourself. where is the self respect. Do you know that 55% to 65% of petrol price is tax. Have you ever realised that where this tax money is used. They take tax and say they have to subsidize the petrol. This is the problem even though educated we dont try to understand the problem and blame ourselves for everything

I AM against forced protest. Strike called good but to force to participate is like forcing to vote for u which is undemocratic. So all people by themself should not go out if they feel its not justifiable
What is it with Bandhs and Buses, Do we always have to damage buses during a Bandh.. Only an idiot would burn a beautiful bus in Bangalore, one of the better things

Those are done by garage people; they need to get benefits out of bandh; They r jealous of salary people who gets an off with salary
Yes, total bandh is karnataka, Bangalore, no bus transporers, only private vehicles are plaing in Bangalore roads,My office near Malleswaram is full shops are closed, only Mallu tea shops are opened. Since karnataka is BJP Ruling, bundh is total. whereas in TN Bandh was no impact, due to dravidian parties had done demonstrations on 29th and 30th. In AP also Bandh was partial, buses are not plying, some shops were opened, that is the information received.

I am sure many people in Bangalore applied for a day's leave on friday and left Bangalore on wednesday evening to Coorg, Ooty and other nearby places for a loong vacation before the schools open on Monday...So much about the success of the bandh...But i appreciate the governmentin TN, for having run the day well

A rule should be made that Bandh should be called either on Friday or on Monday so that people dont waste one more day; and they can get benefits from Bandh as long weekend.. This way we can also promote our tourism..

The way Maya built an Empire of (Useless) Statues, so is this Mahamaya going to build an empire of (Useless) Trains..... useless because they'll only be plying in W Bengal whereas India has 30 odd other states languishing.
