regarding bandh
by krishna ghosh on May 31, 2012 11:37 AM

I SUPPORT THE STRIKE OR BANDH CALLED BY THE POLITICAL PARTIES. PETROL PRICE HIKE WILL INCREASE THE PRICES OF ESSENTIAL GOODS. THE GOVT WILL INCREASE THE SALARIES & DA OF GOVT EMPLOYEES. BUT IN THE SMALL PVT SECTOR UNITS ESPECIALLY THE PVT SCHOOLS DON'T INCREASE THE SALARIES. BUT TRANSPORT & OTHER EXPENDITURE INCREASES. BUT I DON'T SUPPORT DAMAGING PUBLIC PROPERTY EG- BURNING OF BUSES ETC BECAUSE THESE THINGS HAVE BEEN BOUGHT BY OUR OWN HARD EARNED MONEY. WE PAY TAXES TO THE GOVT & THE GOVT BUYS THESE THINGS FROM THAT MONEY. DAMAGING PUBLIC PROPERTY MEANS DAMAGING OUR OWN PROPERTY. GOVT WON'T REPLACE THE DAMAGED THINGS IMMEDIATELY. ULTIMATELY WE WILL SUFFER.

I read in some article couple of years ago, that premium petrolis not for cars of India, which are mostly less than 2500cc..
As per article it works well only for vehicles with more than 4000cc..

by suchet bal on May 31, 2012 11:11 AM  | Hide replies

Petrol prices will always rise. Politicians will call bandhs. Their party workers will resort to violence. Next day all will return to normal.

The organisers, directors & executors of the BANDH including Chief Ministers & leaders of parties which called for the BANDH should be made to pay the losses & damages. The CAG should assess the loss caused to the nation & the SC should order recovery from the pockets of all these people. Hats of to ANNA & RAMDEV also for supporting the BANDH, Anna Ji & Ramdev Ji please pay for the losses caused due to loss of revenue, production, damage to national property. Instead of disruption these people could have worked on a SUNDAY/HOLIDAY to protest. That way we would have extra revenue. The so called peaceful indian society is actually violent, lazy & not willing to work. This is expoloited by BJP/TMC/SAD/BJD/SP/JDU & now Anna & Ramdev. Instead of riding bullock carts & donkeys, these people should have cycled. They should promote cycling in daily life. It will help reduce the bulging waist, reduce Blood Pressure & Blood Sugar, reduce heart attack. The wallet will bulge. I request the H'ble Supreme Court to take notice of these comments.

Why no bandh for fare hike in BEST BUS??
by atul on May 31, 2012 11:02 AM  | Hide replies

BJP and SENA lead bandh for petrol hike is nothing but drama. they hiked the BEST fares by 40-50% just a month ago. Y there was no cry at that time. ALL DRAMA, OUR NETAS DO NOT HAVE ANY CHARACTER. The fare price of BEST buses has affected the 41lakh travellers traveling by bus. first protest against that hike then we will support u for this bandh. Else get lost
