How you hate free will and freedom of the press. You people are practically intolerant to others view.

That is one reason BJP should not come to power.

What ails the BJP?
by Jai Neo on May 27, 2012 12:19 PM  | Hide replies

The BJP has squandered an opportunity to be the Right of Center political party as opposed to the Pseudo Socialistic Congress and of course the Left parties.

The BJP has very capable & efficient Chief Ministers/State Leaders like Modi, Raman Singh, Shivraj Chauhan, Manohar Parrikar, Khanduri, Vasundhara Raje, Sushil Modi, etc. The BJP & its ally JDU's Nitish led government in Bihar is yet another example. Moreover the BJP was also in alliance with Navin Patnaik's BJD.

So what ails the BJP led NDA when it comes to general elections? I think it is the stubbornness of people like Advani and the stranglehold of a few drawing-room Delhi politicians' coterie without any mass base who are responsible for the BJP's woes. Even on policy matters like the Nuclear Bill or FDI in retail, the BJP did flip flops resulting in confusion amongst those people who wanted to vote for it. The Old Guard & the RSS have to stay away and let the leaders emerge from the grassroots mass base.

Till then the corrupt, inefficient, insensitive and callous Congress will continue to run riot at the Center!

Rediff should focus more on Nation issues
by sudhir kumar on May 27, 2012 11:20 AM  | Hide replies

Rather than writing on Modi and BJP's internal problems, Rediff should focus more on national issues. I mean price rise, petrol price rise, our defense problem, corruption should be front page news. No one here bothers Modi is fighting with Sanjay Joshi, Advani is not happy with RSS etc. We want clean government, good system where we can live peacefully, where we can travel without fear, having electricity, water, road etc. Even if BJP guys fight each other and can can provide these things to us we should not bother much about their fights.

Who is Sanjay Joshi?
by Ravi Kant on May 27, 2012 11:09 AM  | Hide replies

What a comparison between Modi & Joshi ! BJP would do well to dump Joshi & promote Modi as the next (Bhaavi) Indian leader with best potential to be the next PM of country. Gadkari & others must not give so much importance to Joshi. What are his achievements ?

Problem is that Gadkari, Advani, Sushma and Jaitley dont want Modi to come to centre.

Forget of him ever being a PM candidate.

These desperate people
by mahaansoch on May 27, 2012 08:33 AM

The desperate people in rediff forum want a 'superhuman leader'. They hope Modi will be it and refuse to examine factss. This is the kind of desperation that would have led Germans to ignore what Hitler (an average person like Modi with some weird ideas) to cause so much destruction.

Why does Modi hate Joshi.
by Ravi on May 26, 2012 08:51 AM

Both Modi and Joshi had started their political career together in Gujarat and Joshi was Modi senior in the late 1980. When Modi was banished from Gujarat by then chief minister Keshubhai Patel in 1998, it was Joshi who succeeded him as BJP's organisation secretary in Gujarat.Sanjay Joshi has the backing of RSS.Joshi opposed Modi elevation as Gujarat chief minister in October 2001.
