India has been a soft state and vulnerable to attacks from the west since ancient times (except during the reign of powerful empires like Mauryas, Guptas...etc). Now apart from being soft, we have even become a cowardly state. We do not dare to take action against Pakistan inspite of the worst possible provocations like attacks on Parliament, Red Fort, Mumbai...etc. I don't see India taking any action even if it stops to exist simply because our leadership is spineless, cowardly, anti-national and self-serving. This is very clearly manifest in the lack of courage to hang Afzal Guru and the royal treatment being meted out to Ajmal Kasab. Perhaps all this has its roots in the version of "Nehruvian secularism" being followed by the political parties

The leadership is clear that they will do nothing as they have neither the capabilities nor the courage. Besides, taking action in national interest does not fetch votes or any political benefit
