It is lifeline of India and common man vehicle, but not from today but from Babu Jagjivan Ram till today considered as personal property in order to employ thousands of people of their constitutency as vote bank plus put their own limited thoughts and vims. Latest is Mamta.

Sacking of Trivedi
by Maithreya on Mar 23, 2012 11:30 AM  | Hide replies

Mamata has sacked Trivedi without giving a proper reason. If subservience becomes the criteria for ministership, then it is very bad for the future of the country. Some of my Bengali friends opine, seeing the way Mamata is handling things, a large section of people in Bengal may actually curse themselves for bringing Mamata to power in Bengal.

Is India having Democracy ?
by sidhartha routray on Mar 23, 2012 11:29 AM

No way !!! It is the politicians who have been continuosly diluting Democracy with their power.

It is better Media keep the topic and bring about change. Any single citizen cannot change. Maximum Voters (say 80% of population) who are biased by these politicians, will no way help finer Democracy.

Fare hike
by devendra kishore on Mar 23, 2012 11:28 AM

Roll back of fare will only help the touts. Common man doesn't get tickets anyway. He has to pay extra to touts.Incresed fare was hitting the profit of touts. Mamta didn't like touts loosing money. Hence the roll back.

As long as Mamata like people continue to keep it cheap, the mindset also will not change. Thats the sad reality. Soon Railways will become a sick PSU
