Dont worry u will never have gold jewellery worth 8,5L and even if u have u wont throw it in dust bin thinking someone would return it and u will give 50000 rs. to him/her. Anyways Hats off to this young girl for her unprecedented honesty. Wish her a very very good life ahead.

That is an honest reply. I agree with you. I also feel the award amount should be a little more than what is announced. Just for a feel good factor.
I salute the young Alka. This kind of news giveo lots of encouragement to us. We still have honest people. Hats off to her and her worthy parents. Thanks to Rediff for highlighting this fantastic news.
She, Alka Sarode, deserves a job..may be in the Bombay Municipal Corporation. If the Govt fails, some private companies, or still better, an NGO could give her a job. Let she be an example for honesty in this mostly dishonest world.

Actuallt it was the Dalit Vandana Ulkande who threw all the jewels, and the upper caste Alka Sarode who returned it.
