It is long, if ever, since Mamata Banerjee showed any sense in her personality and politics. The socalled communists of Bengal [to whom communism meant Labour rowdyism, red flats, strikes, bandhs,and empty slogans] ruined that state through decades, but the Bengalis had earlier been acquitting themselves remarkably, as great people, fiery nationalists, zealous lovers of Bengal and Bengali, patriots, achievers in many fields like education and culture. Mamata Banerjee seemed the only bet to the millions of Bengali youth, intelligentsia and all commoners many of whom had to exit their beloved native state if they had to find a livelihood -- in other states,or in other states of India. When they elected Ms Banerjee,they are finding that it is such a stupidly wrong bet, as she does not have absolutely any concern nor the capability to uplift the lot of the poor and the unemployed and the underemployed in all sectors of the economy. Lacking in requisite brains and strategy, even enthusiasm, Mamata continues to indulge in various kinds of bravado that are deeply disappointing to the people of WB. Joining the UPA, she has made her party a source of least support in many ways. Whereas the people of Inddia would gladly part with a small additional amount in hiked fares for rail travel, it baffles simple understanding why Mamata is unable to see reason and is proving to be a meaningless dictatress and obstructive politician.People ofIndia should try and keep her out of Trinamoola.

Mr. Rao, there is no use in lamenting on pure street smart political theaterics. Mamata thinks that in next general elections Cong will go further down (deservedly) and BJP/NDA is in no position to captalise the same. So it is going to be the regional parties like Mamata, Jayalalitha, Mulayam, Karunanidhi, Naveen et al would have the key and ofcourse if communists gain then they will add to the above list but we have a possible 4th front due to the fact that Jaya & Karuna (and) mamata & commies cannot go together. So they want populists budget. Cong being typical cong they want to do both ways. By using Trivedi they were wanting to show case to middle & above class and media that they are "progressive" at the same time by not strongly backing him (giving to Mamata) they think they can score some brownie points that they have not done anything that affect poor people. They way they kind of smartly tried with Lokpal in parliament. So its all muddled sewage water lets not worry about its potability.
After about 10 yrs the Rly Charges are hiked, and why is Mamataji is shouting for that. She did not utter a work when the H,ble Members of Parliment and Legislature hikes their salaries which is paid by the poor public. The hike in Rly charges is nothing when compared to this. Is Mamataji getting paranoid or restless.

I agree . She is not that foilish that she didnot know of the plan to hike in the fares. All politics to save their skin.

My prophesy is that a lot of turmoil will soon take place and most of those smaller regional parties named above by K G will fall by the wayside and be in the political waste-bin by the end of 2012.
she looks frustrated all the time. Perhaps has not got her satisfaction at night which she would have had she married. No man yet slapped her and put her in place like it happens to any married woman. That's why she is jumping up and down in arrogance.
It is difficult to accept lojic to blame congress for trinamool change of Guard at Railway ministry .Mamta shall accept all her failt for Minister's change .As it is reported that she was aware of events that railway fare are being revised upwards . Actually , for some time ,she has agenda to life for congress difficult as well as her real terget is not CPM ,rather ,it is Congress .She & trusted Lt has started a reign of Terror for Rural Congress Worker since the Election are over at West Bengal .pl lend me ear to this Fact

Poor Madam Mamata does not know what her deputy is doing - similarly there is another poor madam who lives sometimes in delhi and sometimes outside india - who also does not know what her deputies are doing! - The Bengali madam is destroying the railways?!...and the delhi Madam is destroying the Nation?!
Mukul Roy will be an ideal puppet in the hands of Mamata. The ruin of Railways is on the cards. The writing is on the wall. Workers with salaries NOT PAID for months to-gether. Asking for additional budgetary support, thereby causing deficit in the overall National budget. Trains colliding with each other due to absense of staff. Mukul Roy will have to hand in his resignation at any of these times ie., non-payment of salaries or during Railway accidents ( May God forbid - let it not happen !! )

be wise before sharks, smaller parties. Mamata (TMC) need to visit Mulayam(SP) and send her emissary to smaller parties in coalition instead of MMS/Sonia/etc and vice-versa(rest of parties should do the same). Decide how smaller parties coordinate and share time/years for cabinet seats. And which cabinet seats they need to ask. Let bjp-congress cartel not play one small fish against another to eventually eat them all like how Ajit Singh father's blood and sweat party(RLD) was eaten up. Media is foolishly backing these traitor sharks from independence time due to fear or lure.
Enough is enough.PM and Madam Sonia need to how some guts here. Just hate her and her dump dictatorial brainless illiterate uncouth policies. Just can not digest that dumb face that runis the country for good.
