A sad day for India .We have a billion people in india ,people seek to earn livelihood in all ways and this is the age of greed and commerce. People exploit the natural resources due to the demand from us.There are sand mafia, river quarrying mafia ,timber mafia etc.
I travelled through MP IN 2004 and then in 2011 there has been large scale deforestation in the state.

It is important to note that ministers and politicians and the mafia are the same. This IPS officer should have just kept quiet and he would
be living now. One person cannot take on the entire system because the entire system is corrupt. When large number of people wake up one day
when the limits are crossed then civil war takes place and resources get redistributed again. Politicians make money by joining with these
mafia's on one end, on another end these IPS officers are under politicians, so how do you expect politicians to side with the IPS ?
Clever IPS officers play the game safe, make some money for themselves without getting caught, and retire. This idiot did not understand
the game.

What you have written is all true. Maybe the Officer was forthright honest and wanted to take the mining mafia by the horn, in the interest of the nation and the state. But, he did not understand that the odds were against him, for that matter, all diligent and honest Officers meet more or less the same fate .

State Govt. should not be deterred in fighting the mafia!
by sanjay acharya on Mar 08, 2012 09:25 PM  | Hide replies

-Sad day for the state. This man was a genuine and honest officer who was given a free-hand by the state government to act against the mining mafia.
-Earlier within a short span he put a brake on at least 15 illegal stone mining companies in the area.
-These mining mafias maybe feeling the heat and so this happened.
-I hope the state govt. keeps up the fight against the mafias of Diggi and Co.

Your response is very disturbing. This is one of the reasons why no one can fight corruption. Even when someone pays with their life people will say horrible things. Okral, you either are part of the same mafia or a heartless fool!

Shame on you cheap fellow, your inferiority complex makes you think so. Few would care if this had happened to you.
