It is sad that the officer lost his life. But i think he could have saved himself. He should have gone with support staff with him. He knew that he is dealing with criminals and hence should not have stood right in front of the tractor in order to stop it.His inexperience proved fatal. If mining mafia wanted to kill him in a planned manner, they could have caused an accident or could have run over him from behind. But since he was facing the vehicle it does not seem a planned killing.
When such news comes we must realize how corruption has penetrated and made criminals dare such acts knowing that somebody somewhere can protect them...and does the IPSo did not carry gun? In any other country th e driver would havw been shot dead...
seeing his personality and expression ... i am 10000000 % sure ....he is not clean office ....as 99.99 % of IAS, IPS officers are corrupt ...this was one of them .... fortunately or unfortunately ...he had fight with mafia on percentage share ...which must not gone well with mafia ....due to excessive demands from IPS officer ...this resulted in murder of corrupt officer from ruthless mafia

greed in the end.
do we want such money all in name of progress, growth, civilizing/converting tribal, those modern temples of Nehru, etc. for ordinary indians, this is not the kind of growth we need after destroying the tribal habitat, faith and way of life. creating rural and urban slums.
quite like what was done in Africas in past and today to exploit tribals and convert them into these 3 middle-east faith.
we consider tribal way of life and faith more valuable than multi-billion dollar or multi-crore business. Or some middle-east three faced serpent faith. One face of serpent acts as friend and another one bites while third one finances/weaponizes or provides market for such wrong. End goals are same.
Let not general hoodos be swayed by greed story of such progress.

I think you didn't read the article well enough, "during his brief tenure he had taken on the mining mafia head-on by seizing number of trucks and tractors engaged in illegal mining in the area". This shows that he was honest, besides he was posted there for only 1 month. If he wanted to take money from Mafia, seizing of 1 truck was enough to show his intention. If everyone thinks like this & turns a blind eye to deeds to honest officer, then it will demoralize even those who wants to bring a change to the system. Please don't discourage, encourage those who standup to against illegal acts.
greed does not stop after tribal lands are taken away by greed, civilizing them done, conversion done, etc.
this is an exhibit of the force of greed that had made the tribal land be seized by outsiders in name of development and progress. tribals made landless labour. their native habitat destroyed. end result is mining mafia, naxals, mining corporates harping progress, etc.
india needed to develop protocols with tribals since 1947, allow them to live their life their way and protocol (aign language or documented tribals words for each tribe)to tell them to control their population according to their resources and make sure tribals dont go extinct by their land poaching or disease arriving from so called civilized world. India need to stop tribal land invasion through rampant mining for various corporation and that includes the reputed TATAS, vedanta, etc. let tribal be proud of their habitat and us consider it more valuable than multi-billion dollar or multi-crore business.

Hats off to this young (30yrs) and dynamic IPS officer SAHEED NARENDER KUMAR.I also Condemn the C.M. and the entire state govt. of Madhya Pradesh for their inaction with Zero alertness which led to a great loss to Mother India. On the High moral ground the C.M. and the entire govt. need to leave their office for their irresponsible act of controlling administration. Why not team Anna now not so aggressive against this in human killing ?Let the people of India to decide.? A high profile young couple on job in the position of Country's Govt. service of the highest position & authority can not be protected is a matter of great concern and shame. How much more honest officers lives are required to sacrifice to wake up our nation to take the step of Zero tolerance against these corrupt and criminal background MINING MAFIAS ?Time has come to be united for a fight of zero tolerance and the highest degree of punishment for these corrupt and rich MAFIAS across the country.
These are the most notorious people of the place, I belongs to the same place and I know how much nuisance they are for society. Even their community support such a heinous act, this guy who was driving trolley would be hero of his village, as he took over to the govt official.
Maybe the Officer was forthright honest and wanted to take the mining mafia by the horn, in the interest of the nation and the state. But, he did not understand that the odds were against him, for that matter, all diligent and honest Officers meet more or less the same fate .
