And then what's the credibility of Time magazine?

Just a few months ago it named Sonia Gandhi amongst world's 100 most influential personalities... now do we believe that they don't know who is moving the 'robo achiever' and who actually is the 'failure' behind him?

Or maybe they're scared to take the name...?

The other side of it all...

Isn't that a shame on Indian media and the lame and 'sold out' opposition? Boy, is that the reason why Team Anna seems to be so relevant?

MMS

MMS gave the Americans the impression that he can pass any bill of their like trough Indian parliament. The American judgment was that he was a good Kabadi player ready to do anything they propose. US are in need for new partners around the world. Say Charlie Company. US is seeing that the Indian relations with Russia is growing from strength to strength. It just a coincident that Russia is the world number one on natural recourses. In gas, in petrol in nickel, in cadmium you call it. And then the sniper and booby trap policy. USA thought that MMS would put a bold face against China. Now the disappointment is great that he cannot even point were China lies on the world map. Now they call him underachiever.

Why does Time care about MMS's achievements.
by A on Jul 10, 2012 12:32 AM

To put the articles in Time magazine into context and perspective, one should also remember that Business Corporations (like Walmart) from other countries are knocking (rather banging) on the doors of the Indian Government to allow Foreign Direct Investment into the Indian Retail Market. This is strongly opposed by a majority of the political parties because, in a couple of years, the sheer money power of entities like Walmart can easily run down all the convenience stores and shops that we see in every street corner and impact the economic health of the nation at its very heart and roots. At the same time, Manmohan Singh (or Sonia Gandhi) is not in a position to get the bill to allow FDI in Retail Markets passed in the house, especially after a lot of "political goodwill" (open to interpretation) has already been invested in getting the Nuclear Liability Bill passed in the house. Foreign Businesses on the other hand are in desperate need of growing markets and these foreign businesses are known to persuade governments by influencing government heads in every manner and means available to them and this article in the Time magazine should be treated with some suspicion in this context. Time magazine could have been right but they may not be stating the truth with the right intentions. This could simply be a way of persuasion to open up the Indian Retail Markets. We need to be careful about the context and intentions behind anything that comes out of the foreign medi

Nearly four lakh Kashmiri Pandits were hounded out of their homes
by nitmohan on Jul 09, 2012 10:26 PM  | Hide replies

Nearly four lakh Kashmiri Pandits were hounded out of their homes due to this turmoil and thousands were killed.

Some put the present figure of the number of exiled Kashmiri Pandits at 7.5 lakh.

No commission or probe has focused on ethnic cleansing and the genocide of minority Pandits, which led to their exodus from the valley.

Moreover, the persecutors are roaming free in Kashmir.

What is happening in the country OF GANDHI & NEHRU

Never independent
by Titan on Jul 09, 2012 07:14 PM

He can be praised to be a achiever when Narasimarao was PM, because he was independent then. Narasimarao gave him full freedom to give economy a boost.

The UPA2 was not expected even by the same party. They would like to cry foul in case they would be sitting in as opposition.

But unfortunately they have been made to power, that they themselves had to be prosecuted for all corruption they had made.

MMS expecting freedom....
