Tell BBC not to show the BAD things but make everything possible that they remain. If Indian GOVERNMENT is so sensitive than remove the SLUMS and make sure that the FOOD served in AVERAGE Indian hotels is of good quality.

I completely agree with you friend, but their are other decent ways to showcase the problems.Showing the world reality of a particular region and making fun of it in a manner to humiliate the locals are two different things buddy.
If Indians are offended, they should do something about it like providing better sanitation and stop littering on roads by people, but that will never happen. We will continue to grow from 1.2 to 1.5 and 1.7 billion people and still cry on things like this, great!
Indians are offended, as this program is a scheme by the western white people to promote their culture. India has no beggers, and every indian is educated and knows his manners and ettiquettes, and all indians have access to toilets and clean water. Any program that contests this information should not be allowed to be screened in India. Its a plot to destabilize our nation and corrupt our culture. Long live India, long live our politicians !! :-)

Regarding railways its valid point but slums of which country are neat and clean..and why make fun of culture..
They/RALIWAYS should charge Ticket fare (Rs 19 extra per ticket) .. This charge is is only for TOILET cleaner ..you can add rs 10 extra for sweeper ..alteast then TRAIN compartment will be clean..
Re: Here my suggestion to Train ticket price

what is needed is not just toilet cleaner but a system in place so that the toilet content can be stored below when train is in station and discharged when it moves in he outskirts of city and town.
the filth in station is another disgusting part of the problem not seen any other developed countries.

That's the Point!! Corruption is the focal Point. If after 64 years of Independence we cannot improve ourselves, then I'm afraid I see no future for our country
