Even if it is true, it does not entitle him to be judgemental. If a comment is passed tarnishing an entire society of people it is unfair.Secondly there is an underlining air of superiority that makes it offensive. The British must remember that as colonisers we were taught in the history books they stole from their colonies and enabled their wealth. They havent learnt look at the rotten financial markets where all the gansters in ties congregate in London. The looting continues. What does Jeremy have to say about it.By the way does Jeremy know that Jaguar is owned by an Indian company?

By the way I dont live in India and I am not Indian. The point is no one who runs a car programme is entitled to make racial comments and judge another culture. It is not true that all Indians are dirty or live in slums or live hand to mouth.Clarkson is steryotyping an entire society and that is wrong. It is for the Indian peeople to manage their own behaviour and image.
Just as Indian High Commission prides and protects how World perceives India and correct any misconceptions and negative propagenda, It should also make sure to write and state on record that our Railways or any department / ministry lends such opportunities to media professionals to run such propagenda.
Even in this case, it is interesting that the High Commission did not choose to say it is BASELESS and UNFOUNDED because there is an element in such claims about cleanliness of our Railways. WE should accept and improve!

I'm glad that government /people finally feel ashamed that most Indians don't have toilets or basic sanitation facilities. Well, that's the TRUTH, we live worse than how dogs do, and even Africans fare better.

During commonwealth games our own minister Mr Jaipal Reddy had a despicable take on our sanitary standards. Let’s start to clean from him.
