right. even in america, good people become rapper at night. what is India? girls to stay indoor when sun down. no bay friend no day friend. all bad. if still no solve problem, get burqa. but finally no use talking, this matter get cold, in few week or not maybe month. nobody remember Assam case, do you? how many day ago happen that?

Martial arts training can definitely help against 1 or 2 goons effectively.
An expert can take on 6 crooks.
Considering the deteriorating law and order scenario, with an extremely low police to population ratio, it is but logical that law-abiding citizens , male or female, should take up martial arts training for self-defence and defending others in trouble as well.
Depending on an under-resourced police force for protection is like expecting a court case to finish on the scheduled time.

Martial arts training is a force-multipler in the sense that it not only provides adequate means for self-defence, but also increases self-confidence and self-esteem, courage, character ,self-discipline ,physical fitness which are important for success in other aspects of life as well.
Swami Vivekananda had also advocated martial arts training for all , especially females.

The boy is still alive. It shows he didnt actually defend. For defending someone you need to be tough. In situations like this there Man should have a "Fight until death mentality"

Just tell this kind of incident can happen in ANY ARMY CANT AREA??? I hope No.These bldy Police always bagging Rs1 to Rs10 from Small venders,truck drive,....That why people do not respect Polcie and after this incident POLICE beware ......

right guru alive and chela dead. you see all related with hunger. actually thieves know police is hungry. politicians know poor people a re hungry. anti-socials know politicians are hungry.
Both the rape incident and the subsequent ill-treatment of the protesting students are major reflections of the shortcomings and lack of quality of the Indian police force.
What is truly needed at the moment is the revamping of India's police force and upgrading them both qualitatively and quantitatively.
Good law and order is the foundation of a healthy and prosperous society and a developed nation. And this can be enforced effectively only with a professional, well-led, well-trained, well-equipped and well-resourced police force.
The inability to proactively prevent the rape incident, and actions of the police forces against the protestors only reflected their shortcomings in training and resources, and this is why the law and order in the country is in shambles.

The major reason for all the lack of law and order in India is simply this : the police to population ratio is just 130 per 100000 people, well below the minimum police strength of 222 per 100000 people recommended by the UN.
Law and order is needed for healthy progress of the country in all sectors, and this is essentially provided by a good and effective police force.
All developed and progressive nations have a very good police to population ratio. France (356), Germany (298 ),Great Britain( 307 ), U.S.A (256),Spain (511),Belgium(373), Malaysia (370),Singapore(752) are examples.
Good law and order ensures a healthy society and a good background for economic development as well for obvious reasons.
If India aspires to be a developed nation, it should first increase the police to population ratio from its measly 130 at present to at least the UN recommended minimum police strength of 222.
Otherwise all these crimes and protests will keep on happening without any end at sight.

The Indian government need not get tense and worried about the costs of maintaining a 222 strong police to population ratio, as the strong economic development that comes with good law and order will more than compensate for the greater investment in the policing sector.

you say no correct. capital police good. they protect all politician perfect. law and order work perfect. problem with man woman ratio. no balance. you see six man and one woman. few day before in Assam twelve man and one woman. Amir show in TV, family kill baby girl, make only boy. police good, only problem public. killing girl, then less girl big, then boy get big, get hungry and no girl. think. think.
