No just continuous GPS tracking of soldier but Oxygen cylinder should be mandatory for all soldiers who guard for longer times. This is how videshis operate on high altitude or cold. Why dont we want our soldiers to survive even when they are under the snow?
What more, they can have also have plastic capsules sort of suits to cover their entire body during emergency like you see in space journey.
Once these soldiers are under Avalanche, proper digging can be done to get them out by powerful snow blowers(attached to snow scooters) tied to rope and motor to pull out both the troops and the snow scooters.
The Dhongi-dhoti defense minister will want to buy the videshi equipment for sake of kickback to certain agents of videshi rulers rather than make this in desh, which is quite easily possible. Let us make some temporary solution to save lives.

Re: Let Rediff start a Campaign to collect money for our Soldiers

Very well said & certainly great/noble suggestion. But provided the money is not siphoned off by our greats.
A saying arose that the Generals Janvier and Fevrier (January and February) defeated Napoleon, alluding to the Russian Winter. But one study concluded that the winter only had a major effect once Napoleon was in full retreat, saying that "In regard to the claims of 'General Winter', the main body of Napoleon's Grande Armée diminished by half during the first eight weeks of his invasion before the major battle of the campaign. This decrease was partly due to garrisoning supply centres but disease, desertions and casualties sustained in minor actions caused thousands of losses. At Borodino, Napoleon could muster no more than 135,000 troops and he lost at least 30,000 of them to gain a narrow and Pyrrhic victory almost 1,000 km (620 mi) deep in hostile territory. The sequels were his uncontested and self-defeating occupation of Moscow and his humiliating retreat which began on 19 October, before the first severe frosts later that month and the first snow on 5 November.[61]
General of Cavalry Denis Davidov writing in 1814 noted that the winters during campaigns in 1795 and 1807 were far colder but failed to prevent French operations and victories. Also, for much of the period of retreat, the temperature did not drop below 10 °C (50 °F) and even at its coldest during November in Vilno the temperatures on the 13th (−8 °C/18 °F), 14th (−9.2 °C/15.4 °F) and 15th (−6.5 °C/20.3 °F) were not especially severe. In fact the

army head quarter is having doubtful intrigrity they can not limit casualities like 1962 as army must take lessons from history as there are army generals who pass exams i hope without copy from open book papers of history?
Once more this strategically important place (??? who says) has taken its toll. My deep condolence to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for their mother land. May their soul rest in peace.
Tragic news. It just reflects the extreme conditions under which our brave soldiers work to safeguard our country. I salute all our soldiers. Deepest condolences to their families. May their soul rest in peace.
