Brave Heart
by Narendra Karkera on Apr 04, 2012 10:08 AM

We salute these brave men who keep us safe at the cost of their life. Let all MPs be posted in turn to understand the feel of this terrain, so that they would not politicise the defence matters. Infact the Defence Minister should be a ex military person. If we can select a Prime Mionister without getting elected then why not a Defence Miniater.

"We are a happy bunch willing to do anything to make sure that the skies are free from the enemy."
Morale is a vital weapon in any soldier's arsenal.
Many of the politicians do deserve reading these lines again and again. When men from different States assemble and work together for the Nation, why not the politicians work for the Nation and not for their own state, Religion, Caste, Group and families?
Recast the political and electoral system. While these brave men sacrifice their comforts, family life and everything else for the sake of the Nation, why not we do something good for the Nation?

yes you are right but you fail to understand that our armed forces work for the nation and our politicians work for their bank accounts and self interest

Why rediff is publishing these kind of army related pictures on the web? Helping terrorists to know the locations. Stop publishing these pictures

It is very vague and no locations are mentioned. Most photos are of things like the mess, a guard tower etc nothing that gives away too much. Most LOC posts will fit the description.

Ignorance can be bliss

It is said that ignorance is bliss and nowhere can it be more true than amoung soldiers. If only they knew the treason being committed by the politicians, babus and judges, they would definitely go on a rampage and may be things would improve then!

Mutiny would lead to chaos. Even the small revolt by the General creates so many ripples. Army, Navy and IAF to please gaurd our Nation. Rets will be taken care by the system which requires a change towards betterment.

'System' is a very neutral way to describe a mammoth monster that's not possible to change, because it's operated by human beings. Therefore, it is futile to expect the system to change on its own; it requires human intervention. I'm of the opinion that since the system (actually the people who are part of the system) will not change itself, people outside the system have to get involved, either through peaceful or non-peaceful means.
