by sitansu padhi on Nov 12, 2011 10:04 PM  | Hide replies

it happened on 31.07.2003. our infront neighbor is a rowdy. for simple arguments his ladies will come to road and fight with others. in the morning one of their cow was attacking an old woman and nobody was doing anything. i ran to the spot and saved the old woman.the mad cow would have definitely killed the lady if i had not reached the spot. later in the evening that old woman came to their house and complained. instead of sympathising with her they quarreled with her. i just came out of my house by then hearing all noise. his sons friend who was after his grown up girls reached same time and without knowing anything too argued with the old lady. i couldnot tolerate , came out of my house and asked the boy why he is arguing with the old lady who is the victim. immediately the boy rushed to me in sheer anger and started attacking me brutally with his fists and kicks. i was dumb founded. i am a senior surveyor of the general insurance industry whom every body of my town knows. i tried to defend my self but could not as i was very much tired since a month in attending my would be mother younger sister at a hospital, 50 kms from my town. also 01.08.203 was the 21st day for the new born baby which we had to celebrate grandly with our neighbors. all people watching the whole incident immediately entered into their houses and closed doors. hearing the noise my elder brothers and my brother in laws came. they tried to stop the fight. but the boy used his fists to them also. we were

I sympathise with you for all you had to endure and without help from society. You see, crime is increasing day by day only because the social system is decaying. Most of the people join the police & judiciary for the extra money & power. The country has a long delaying, rotten system of law. What is left there, just keep quiet when someone else is the victim. If you /family is the victim, wait for the opportunate time to give a deserving blow. God is giving out justice in the next birth (if U believe in it), which again is delayed justice.

So just give them death penalty and see if this happens again. The solution is simple. We Indians want to prove other nations that we are the most tolerant people on earth. Just implement capital punishement for 10 years. You will never see these incidents again for 100 years.

Justice only if.....

I hope that the killers do not have any political affiliation. If they do, none of them will get any punishment however hard you scream for justice. In India, even the supreme-court order is only executed if politicians do not see any negative impact on their vote-banks.

Makes me think: is this democracy? It resembles more of a totalitarian system masquerading as democracy.

Eve Teasers.

The killers were eve teasers. What a shame , that the public were silent spectators. If such things happen, it should be the public who should take law into their own hands and stone them mercilessly.

Why is this case becoming such a big issue??!!! Neither is it the first time that its happening nor is it a rare incident!!! So, why all this fuss only about this case?

Why you always blame public. You mean to say that public will unite in that 5 minutes and fight aginst those armed guys. With what? bare hands?. That is not at all the solution. Just give the attackers harsh punishment like death penalty to the main guy(s) who started this teasing and fight. The least what public can do is to be a witness when the case bigins in the court. That is all we want.

The solution lies in the fact that in our country unlike many other countries army training is not compulsory. If it had been the case, normal public will always be prepared to unite against such a few number of eve-teasers.
