still we are with russia? i thought bush changed his constitution to give us nuclear energy. and we were with US. but it seems we are also with russia. are we trying to please evevry one. that may not work. in this world you have to stand clear on your one pointed vision. or you will reach no where.

USA has not built N plants for years now. Germany is winding down all plants in phases- Merkel is a PhD in Physics. We Indiand are smart- we feel these people are wrong and that it is time to build more plants! Cool! It is not our generation that will suffer if we are wrong! It is the next generations- so why bother?

USA doesn't need more power now.Why building plants then ?developed countries with less population and more money can afford alternative energy sources.Nuclear is the cheaper and practical source for countries like India.

cheap is practical? since when? I thought safe was practical. it is imperative to reduce carbon foorprints rather than hanker after dangerous sources of energy that jeopardise the very existence of life forms on earth.

dont worry we already polluted the future generation with out 20 year old vehicles and lax pollution rules and bad coal plants a few nuclear plants are not going to make any difference.who cares that nuclear power has the best record in pollution and cost right, be afraid because there is a 0.001% chance of it blowing up and dont worry about the diseases caused by industries dumping pollutants into rivers,coal plants giving respiratory diseases.it is the nuclear power thats the boogeyman

There is no answer for the following for people lives in south. 1) Fishermans from kalam's own place beaten daily by srilankan army. At that time where is our army? 2) Hundreds of Russian enginees ivolved in kundakulam project. Why not only Indian Technology? If some thing happen Russians will help? 3) The great people Japan they could not survive the Nuclear Plant ... How we?

Our military in peace time is driven by the political leadership for such incidences. If we interfere, the same political leadership would prosecute the same people. After all the Central Govt always follows the policy "NO DECISION, BEST DECISION"...as long as there is such an incompetent Central Govt...these things are bound to happen. 2. What do you know about Russian technilogy...they have seen two World Wars...their industries were meant for the Military. They are way ahead in technology when compared to ours in Aerospace, Nuclear Science...and yes they would stand guarantee for their reactor if something (if at all anything wrong happens) wrong happens. After all they have built many reactors in India itself.... 3. If anything happens in Japan, yes, the same thing can happen to us also. The problem in Japan happened because of non-functioning of cooling pump to circulate coolant for the core. Here, the Russians have incorporated many levels of redundancy that no such thing called failure of cooling can happen. So guys rest assured, nothing would happen.

the japanese nuclear plant was emitting radiation after the earthquake.. even after so high safety precautions and japanese quality... kalam has been shown only a small positive side of the reactor...
Dr Kalam is an aeronautical engineer and has done work on missiles though he was certainly the Scientific Adviser to the Govt at the time of second Pokhan.With these credentials,is he the right person to certify on the safetyworthiness of this plant?It is better to bring the Japanese scientists who recently witnessed the disaster to their plant.
it is not the first time that this man has uttered non sense. As a president he meekly listened to the dictate of MMS. He is a stooge of US. He is intellectually a corrupt person like most of the english educated.
His advocasy for nuclear plants is in bad taste. Why doesnot he stay near to these plants
