The Federal system, in my opinion, is the greatest impediment to growth in India. India being as diverse as it is, there is no way there can be a homogeneous society. Therefore it makes practical sense to have each State have more power and say in its development and growth. Instead of everything being scripted and executed by the predominately Hindi states consolidated in Delhi. The greatest resentment in the North East and even in other states is the pushing of Hindi culture and practice over the rest of the country. A classic example is Hindi Prachar Sabha. Many North Indians falsely think Hindi is the national language of India. It is not. Check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Languages_of_India. I would say, respectfully to let go of the Delhi-centered Federal System and give the states more rights and ability to compete with each other. If that happens, most of the issues surrounding North East and even Jammu and Kashmir will resolve itself. Otherwise, we will be in this vicious cycle forever and go 10 steps ahead and 5 steps back and see other countries like China widening the gap.

Not sure if it would work or not. It could be a receipe for disaster. The next step after giving power to these smaller states would begin the fight among castes and religions within those state. For example in AP, muslims will demand a separate state for themselves, so will reddys, naidus, kammas and so on. The situation would turn even more messy when there will be support for such movements from neighboring states. Imagine kerala xians fueling TN xians to demand a separate state or AP reddys pushing the karnataka reddys for the same. It will be the problem in pretty much every state and we could be resembling africa. The composition of south asia, particularly India, is like an example to the world - learn to cohabit - there is no other choice. Our ancestors were not clever and cunning enough to conquer lands like the whites in europe that made them settle in north america, south america, and australia, when their population was growing.

We should hear all, as in other countries such type of conversion and a demand for Nation within the Nation, is it not this.

NE people are chapta-chinkoos and not Indians. They should be liberated or donated to China. Or else they will keep creating mayhem as they have been doing for last 60 years!
I'm not surprised at all considering how majority of North Indians treat them.. Even the very well educated Indians seem to have this strange mentality where they seem to think they are superior to ppl from the north east just by the virtue of the place they grew up in...
During my time at Oxford I met many Indias and was flabbergasted that many of my friends from Delhi and Mumbai held such views.. For some reason they thought it was their right to tell the rest of India how they should live, speak etc and believed that they held the authority on defining what an Indian should be..

Even police does not book case against rap1sts in Delhi.
A rape victime Mizo girl was forced to return to her native place due to taunting by her colleagues and it is providing a chance to the rapi1sts to save themselves...
Is India against corruption or Public Cause Research Foundation is aware of the scenario? Or these are not issues for them as victim concerned are from north east..

Example,Tripura is becoming largest rubber producer in India beating Kerala, very few people knows it.
India's largest rubber park is set up in that state.
Only you will get news of death from broken bridge, broken roads..the result of the apathy of the ruling class..

so long they are busy with publishing trash of paid news ,I donot see an end to this irresponsibly money making and tension creating trend, there is rarely any nationalistic and development oriented journalism in the country...
They did not get enough MP seats for h0rse trading as they donot have enough population !!! So they donot have voice !
It is my genuine concern for the people of North East,if it was with another country or say a sovereign country in case british did not annex it to India as per Yandabu act,the whole region would have been a developed nation like Thailand,Malaysia or Singapore.
But successive congress government's apathy and loot has destroyed the region.Petroleum, tea, lime stone, uranium, coal, hydro power, forest resources etc are looted continuously. In return development is a big zero.
Further, congress vote bank politics have resulted in massive infiltration of Bangladeshi nationals which has destroyed the fabric of ethnic culture and tradition.Bangladeshi touts are exporting local girls to the flesh market.
Sadly, mainland educated guys also taunt them as chinks !
Congress has miserably failed in assimilating people of border states like North Eastern states,Kashmir into the national mainstream.
British made north east a developed region. The first oil refinery of Asia, first tea estate of india, first plywood factory, oldest coal mines, but congress destroyed every good work done by the british.
Just shouting about patriotism does not make sense. We have to show compassion for all and work for upliftment of all.
It is time to do the wrong things right. This is limited my dear Vat1can queen and her desi stooges ,please gear up !

Remember if border states start supporting foreign countries, even those at power and luxury in Delhi will also not be safe.
