Whenever in any society a person or a group of people becomes monetarily successful (legal or illegal let’s debate that later) then this creates a big dilemma..
Once these FIRST OWNERS are VERY VERY SUCESSFUL then they start influencing the democratic institutions of the society..
First they capture the MEDIA. Then they capture the politicians. Then they make laws suitable to them. Then they put judiciary suitable to them who interpret these laws. Then they choose the Police commissioners and the Mayors who implement these laws.
They make the whole society corrupt (LEGALLY).
In India there are different ethnic people belonging to different religion different languages. So it is easy for the FIRST COMERS to own the society…
Same like US universities saying that ANY INVENTION MADE USING ANY INFRASTRUCTURE OF THE UNIVERSITY BELONGS TO THE UNIVERSITY AND NOT THE YOUN HUMAN BEGIN WHO APPLY HIS/HER OWN MIND.
In short SOCIETY IS ALREADY OWNED BY FIRST COMERS so what the solution for the people who are born as SECOND/THIRD…
Only those laws can help them which forced OLD HUMAN BEING OUT OF POWER.. This sounds simple to be TRUE but that’s the only solution..

Very good perspective which is the bitter truth.
Anyone who is interested, please read about KOCH BROTHERS of usa.
They have floated these very innocent sounding institution like Freedomworksdotorg, AmericanForProspertydotorg etc. which in the outset appears like a independent group but in reality funded by KOCH Brothers the billionaire industrialists who want to deregulate.....
In India it is openly flaunted because vast majority of even college graduates either ignorant or blind follower or born with slave mentality(who believe that known masters are better than unknown righteous crusader)
The real looters are the Congress and only Congress!! If Congress takes 1000 rupees note, rest of the parties take 25 paise coin!! Sharad Pawar comes close 2nd!! as he also is ex Congress man and mastered the art of looting.

what she says is so relevant today in India that any thought of 'Congi', 'BJPeee', 'BSPeee', 'Speeee', etc. is entirely beside the point. each of the above parties is uniformly behind the predatory corporates, builers, profiteers !
Gas and Oil belongs to all citizen of country. I wonder why govt allow a private company to buy resource rich gas fields and then shamelessly buying gas and oil from them. We have commando to save us from Jehadi but who will save us from these corrupt politicians.

Somebody has to get the oil out. That is not govt's job. So outsource it to private / public sector companies. Corruption is a different issue.

Sonia Gandhi & only Sonia Gandhi is ruling India. President, PM, Courts etc are all under her thumb. She needs money all the time & therefore blind to good, just, fair & honest governance. Builders are providing her money. But her efforts will finally boil to zero very suddenly. By then, public will be ruined. India is an excellent country to rule but rulers are bad. Unfortunately, BJP is also not the right answer but Congress must be defeated miserably in the next elections. Sonia thinks money alone can win elections. I think excellent, honest & fair governance can win elections hands down bec Indian public is very affectionate & can be loyal.

Ironically the descendents of the original residents of India, within the present day borders,(Irrespective of whether they are hindu, muslims, christians or sikhs) have lost a lot of position and power after 1947. On the other hand people who migrated here after 47, after 58 (china in tibet), after 71 (East Pak), after Uganda, after Fiji and those coming in after 1980's have been given a lot of aid in a bid to settle them even at the expense of the locals.

you fool.You are writing 1947 out of context.if you dont know ,i would like to tell you that before division in 1947 ,all portion was india .And in one country anybody can settle anywhere.And there in erstwhile india and now pakistan millions of hindus lived because at that time it was india not pakistan.after division, when it become clearer that pakistan woul;d be formed ,they left all their property, all belongings including gold,business just to goto their parent state that is india.And i tell you that they were given those property only which waas left by muslims and according to their property in pakistan.1/3rd of the property was given to some lucky ones.Also you fool, dont you know how many hindus, sikhs were killed during these times.millions and millions ,and i think if gandhi would had acted smarter ,this could have been averted

May be you have a point. But please note that we are living in a flat world, where the economic growth is not just by the locals (which is your contention). Don't you think the problem these slum dwellers are facing is similar to what our IT coolies are facing in US? Also note that these builders are going to make un-proportional gains with out any share to these poors.
