It is state election result. people are not fools. People know the diff. between state and central elections.

BTW, even by your own logic congress is routed in TN. Can we conclude that they rejected MMS ?

Your common sense is pathetic. How can you say that Advani and Karat are rejected? BJP is no vote bank in all the 5 states. ASSAM, Kerala and West Bengal are classic examples where religion plays a bigger role. ASSAM has high percentage of Chhristians and high percentage of illegal bangladesh mus1ims (who got ration cards and voting rights) so their obvious choice is Congress party.

Same case in Kerala. LDF vote share is 60% mus1ims, 20% Christians and rest atheists. While UDF-Cong vote bank is 40% mus1ims, 80% christians and rest some hindus. So the swing vote decide the winner for elections.

TN has no BJP presence yet.

West bengal is similar case as ASSAM.

LDF vote share 60% ? Then they would have been in power now. Confusing to say the least.

Communal win
by Purine on May 14, 2011 02:37 AM  | Hide replies

The minority played its cards well in the progressive Kerala, as never before.. look at the win of Kunjalikutty etc.. if it weren't for his religion, would even a single sensible woman, vote for him? andP.J.Joseph.. just 2 examples from the many criminals fielded by the parties who managed to win either by the flag color, our the religion factor even in Kerala. With UPA, the money for vote giants in center, Navin factor, police officer's meet in Mani's house cannot be sidelined. The Congis will do anything to come to power, and we saw in parliament 2 ears ago..and that shitttt Sukumaran Nair's (the crass office bearer) confession shows how communalism played in the "progressive " state this time around.

Let's see if Balakrishna Pillai will walk free under Ummen's or Chandithala's (Mr. Himalaya) rule.

And you can see during anti-incumbency, where option is given to choose not congress and not BJP, it is TN and win of AIADMK.
AIADMK also had people watching over the EVMs.
Apart from thanking retired chawla and his still working pals in EC.
People want alternate other than bjp- congress during anti-incumbent drive. And there was none other than congress led hell. The congress sSuckedd all small parties in kerala. Same situation in Assam. In bengal as well, congress sSuckedd in TMC to it's side to downsize it over long run. IT IS CALLED THE KICKBACK MONEY POWER.

Naveen Chavla effect worked in Paravoor, Piravam, Thrithala, Azheekode, Kottayam and many more places.. All the above places LDF was leading till the last round and everythin went up and down since then. Its the time to take necessary action against this electonic voting else UPA will continue in power in 2014 too and they wont come down for centuries!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mystery: what was NAVIN-CHAWLA doing in KERALA??
by kxvkxvxkk on May 14, 2011 12:09 AM  | Hide replies

he is retired from indiaz election commission.

but anywayz, bcoz of:
1. navinz INTRICATE KNOWLEDGE of the remote controlling of the EVMs,
2. navinz past experience in reversing the voting results, in last lok sabha elections,
3. navinz past illegal workings with some officials who MAN the EVMs,
4. navinz success in winning last lok sabha elections for s0nia,

so s0nia asked him to RIG some EVMs there.

typically, navin only has to reverse the TOTALS of votes, in only about 10% of the EVMs, enough to trigger a WIN FOR CONG.

really bad day for india.

worse days are ahead for millions of indians,
starving under grinding poverty.

Lol, truth is always bitter dude! Dont blame on the machines, blame it on the so called reformers like left, bjp etc..etc... Whatever it is, whehte left, right or centre, India is not going to be uplifted by any corrupt politicians. Left and BJP are worst. So wait and watch, and hope for the best.

Except for the merger of Kerala Congress factions there would not have been a UDF victory this time.

Kerala Congress and Muslim League, along with the mother of all BJP, all communal parties, should be ostracized banned for the good of the country.

But for the sheer courage of the late K Karunakaran, the charisma of A K Antony, and the organisational mettle of Oommen Chandy, Congress in Kerala would never have developed the ability to fight the mean cadre machinery of the Communists. The Communists have several admirable traits, but allowing them to rule uninterrupted for decades like they did in Bengal would not have done Keralites any good.

Chandy has been in public life for over 40-plus years, and surviving the constant barrage of excrement thrown at political rivals by the CPM without any stains on his person is an extraordinary feat. In his first term, he tried to straighten out a disfunctional administration which he inherited from Antony, but couldn't capitalise on it. He deserves another shot at the helm.

Being a Christian is not a crime in this country the last time one checked the constitution. Christianity in Kerala has a 2,000-year tradition, and Islam arrived in Malabar in the very early decades of that religion's origin not through conquest, but through trade.
People from failed and criminalised societies who are unable to comprehend the multifaith richness of Kerala should stop commenting about things which are beyond their understanding.

Your title itself is flop... I think Coingress, given the mandate in the Lok Sabha election, couldn't gain the momentum and to me they lost miserable even though they managed just to get the majority of 2 seats... so you should rewrite the title to 'Ommen a shrewed politician who lost the plot'... do justice...please.
