Banning the book is immaturity and we must give a thorough reading of the same. Most people dont read the book and make comments. Some irresponsible bloke makes a comment and we go on fantasizing and end up in controversies like this.
Mahatma is not God! When Mohammed Islams prophet is being questioned and subject to criticism and even Krishna the diety behind the Gita we need some better sense to make a law to punish those who blasfemise the man.
No book should be banned. But the westerners should be taught a lesson in some other way so that they don't heap filthy abuses in veiled attacks like this and simply get away with it. Simply those who are supporting such an author and celebrating him, their life should be made miserable in such a way that they will suffer for next seven generations.

Agree , I am shocked by views expressed for MK Gandhi in another artical. Our own people just abuse Gandhi like anything , had it been any other country they would have been hanged.
It is a common practice among the foriegn authors to write derogatory observations about Indian Gods and Indian poplitical leaders.First of all they knowledge on India is very low. They only know that India is a country of snake charmers.First let them visit India, stay for sometime with the common people and then write something which may enhance the image of India in international field.Writing something about a dead man that too after 65 years will not bring any respect to that so called writer.Gandhiji is not there to defend himself but we Indians will not tolerate this kind of attack on a person whom we love so much.
