by Pen diamond on Mar 23, 2011 07:21 PM  | Hide replies

If today, India is a leading IT corridor, it is because of Sam's revolution in the Telecom industry which made India ready for IT swirl.

Not many can even comment on the integrity and genius of Sam Pitroda. If at all anything, Most of the IT folks must be thankful for him for the revolution in India.

Sir, My few words of gratitude to you.
Thank you sir for the service rendered to the nation

Sam Pitroda was the brains behind Rajiv Gandhi's telecom changes, In fact it were his proposals, Rajiv just had to sign on Sam's proposals

Well Pen I agree with you partially. But Rajiv Gandhi had a big role in Telecom Revolution. As far as I know reading in some article, SAM had shared his Vision to Indira Gandhi also but because of some reason it did not went ahead during her tenure. When Rajiv Gandhi become PM the very first thing He did was to meet SAM and asked him to go ahead with his plan. So Rajiv Gandhi gave a positive commitement Rajiv Gandhi also for the same

Sam is not a politician, he gives his time freely to Indian Government in order to help them see a vision for industrial development which most of the policians lack. Please be thankful to him for what he is doing. Least refrain from negative comments on this great man and the service for this nation.
