Has she ever acknowledged her Indian roots? Even to receive the award she sent her parents. How can we say she is Indian-American? My humble request - please do not attach "Indian" tag to those who do not want to associated with it. Be it first, second or third generations.

well said. Haley in fact deleted all mention of her heritage from her website when she ran for Governor last year.
Why doesnt rediff and the rest of us indians ever get it. These guys are not indian , they do not consider themselves indian. If the world runs like that, Obama should be indonesian of the decade and Rahul Gandhi should be italian of the century

It is utter stupidity on our part to honour the so called Indians, who are not Indians at all; but Americans. The election process in USA is unlike in India,as most of our representatives are elect ed with the support and strength of locl goons and thugs.
