Indian mythology which is worshiped by us is male biased, Indian traditions and customs are male biased. So it is natural that Indian parents are male biased too.

Bloooody Iidiot if you dont know what you are talking ... dont talk ! The Hindu faith unlike Judism Christinity and Islam is not male baised !! Women are powerful in Hinduism which is just another varition of tribal faith! The female foeticide we see stems from a system were girls end up as liablities- whether it be dowry , marriage expenses etc etc . That sadly is a result of the many decades of Muslims and British ruling this country !

FYI, Sati is not a Hindu practice.. It happened only in parts of India to avoid rap*s by invading forces after kings / soldiers were killed by the invading uncivilized barbaric forces... Thats why it was primarily prevalent in western borders of India which saw frequent invasions by barbrians in the name of their God...

There is no point in blaming doctors only. They evolve from the same society where we all belong. Common people are equally partners in crime with doctors, there is sick mindset among even educated, well off people to abort female foetus, as there will be always supply of corrupt doctors & administrative officials to compelete the vicious cycle. We are slowly progressing towards becoming another somalia or kongo, where every woman's only destiny is to get raped & killed by barbarians. So many useless claims we hear everyday that India will be the biggest economy by 2050, but much before that india will be worst country for women to live, worst country with maximum hungry people & worst country with highest crime rate & worst country where common people will live a dog's life & a handful of corrupt politicians & officials will enjoy first world life at the cost of millions living is utter poverty & exploitation.

this kind of news is very disgusting. I want to know what does medical fraternity think of it. If they want they can stop such practices by simply refusing to do sex scans of the unborn. Where are the medical ethics ? It is utterly important that along with human anatomy , medical courses emphasize heavily on building up good morals for the doctors. Most importantly medical fraternity should come out with powerful rules such as scrapping licences or degrees if a doctor is found involved in such practices.
