Black Money and Satya Sai Baba
by Rajesh Jain on Jun 20, 2011 11:21 AM

The amount of wealth discovered from Sai Baba's private chamber is huge and need explanation. Obvioulsy while accepting the donations or offering Baba was not asking for any declaration. In the name of Gupt Daan the Baba has collected nothing but Black Money on which no income tax has been paid. The Govt. should ask for the source of this wealth and any unexplained source has to be confiscated as in case of any ordinary person. Further Govt. should ask all such temples, trusts and Babas to insist on obtaining the details of donor and also insist on PAN Card. The information should be submitted to Income Tax Department. With such measures all such Baba's will be exposed and there will be definite control over Black Money.

Shame
by nice guy on Jun 20, 2011 11:17 AM

Now where is all this Media who does not even ask a single question when BABA is alive?

How much money hes earning?
Whether proper records are maintained?
Whether IT is filed?
Where the money is kept?

But now, evryone seems to be interested in huge sum of money. Everyone wants their share now.
Now we cant believe anyone, including the govt.
This will go into the hands of greedy, corrupt and the fraud.
Are you watching Ramdev and Hazare?

Lessons for Present & Future Ammas / Babas
by Argumentative Indian on Jun 20, 2011 11:09 AM

In his death & aftermath, Satya Sai Baba, has left lessons for present & future Babas:

1) You are mortal - you WILL die
2) Your followers are people, they MAY make mistakes, innocent mistakes & at time crimes.
3) You WILL be held up to media scrutiny, even when you are NO MORE.

So, its good for an Amma / Baba to establish management systems & procedures in their trusts, DURING their lifetimes to ensure TRANSPARENCY, CHECKS & BALANCES and LEGAL EXPERTISE TO PREVENT OTHERS LIKE THE GOVERNMENT FROM TAKING OVER THE TRUSTS' MONEY. Completely avoid laziness in money matters themselves.

I was never a great believer in Satya Sai nor knew much about him, except that he did great, outstanding work, for the poor at this Hospital and always hoped for more power to him. I suspect, what may have happened in all this material hoarding i.e. Gold, Silver, Cash etc., is that it MAY be sheer laziness to push the materials into the respective trust accounts. Plain procrastination. Its just material goods, the trust anyway has money, OK, so we'll take care of this tomorrow. In the meantime, where do we keep this stuff? Just dump it into my room.

Else there is no logic why anyone would keep this in their room / house. This stuff is for godowns / lockers not houses. People keep food water, reading material, articles of personal use in their house, not commodities.

leave sai baba work alone, his people will do great work.
by bihari babu on Jun 20, 2011 11:04 AM  | Hide replies

Truth is people trusted sai baba and donated so much of their hard earned money. and sai baba used the money to do so much work for people. whats wrong in it. Ramdeo, shri shri, amma. all are doing same thing. they are raj yogi. i like it.
they are inspiring people to be wealthy from outside in world. and also be wealthy inside by practicing mediation etc. whats wrong in it.
krishna himself said, dont be coward. be victorious in material world as well as in spiritual world.

Country of hypocrites
by Voiceu on Jun 20, 2011 10:56 AM

While the whole country is screaming about black money, I am surprised as to why nobody talks about 98 kgs of Gold, 100 Kgs of Silver, 30 crores of cash. 1 guy caught with 35 lakhs cash and another 2 caught with 5 to 10 crores of cash.

I dont understand as to why a saint needs so much of gold and cash in his private chamber and he preaches about peace.

Dont understand as to how he can amass so much wealth which has come as a result of toil of innocent people.

On top of this there is a string of dignitaries from prime minister to judges to cricket players who endorse such people.
