It is really suprising to know about such cash/gold in Godman room. Govt should now work out norms for monitoring all religious trust and their funding source.I hope any one keepng such cash/gold without knowledge of govt agency in only source of black money.
We respect all good done by Sai baba but we also need to know source of money coming to these institution.

Right question at the wrong time
by Orient Mystique on Jun 20, 2011 08:52 AM

Media slept without a qualm when the trust was hiding the money.

Now when the trustees are taking out the money, media is questioning whether they are hiding anything!

Right question but at the wrong time!

Indian crab mentality on display

People on this message board now feel jealous of Sai Baba's wealth and want to criminalize being rich. This is typical communist mindset. Which law says that religious people should not be rich? What we are witnessing is a crude attempt by the government to take over yet another Hindu organization.

Yes they are hiding
by kalyan chakrawarthy on Jun 20, 2011 08:45 AM

Its an open secret that most of the money in the trust belongs to various politicians, basically Sai trust is the front for money laundering and its non benign version of Hasan Ali, non benign being sai baba doesn't have any dealings with terrorist groups/ arms dealers / underworld.

If those Babas receive money through legitimate means of donations and businesses, i don't think it will come under corruption or black money issue.
