another scam in UPA II
by Krishna Nandan on Jun 15, 2011 02:51 PM

yet another scam. but the amount involved is too less. I would not even consider it as a scam considering the fact that congis are capable of doing bigger scams. afterall what will sonia, manmohan, chodumbaram & pranab get as their share in this small 450 cr scam. they need to do something big like 2G. Only then the congis will do justice to their name & fame.

Commission
by shanti Patil on Jun 15, 2011 02:26 PM  | Hide replies

All foreign companies have Indian agents. These agents get about 15% commission when a product is sold. For defense product they may get more commission. Some items are proprietary or the agent asks the purchaser to declare it as proprietary. That means only a particular product is suitable. Then the quotes higher price then actual price and sells. The purchaser will get some commission from the agent and it may be 5-10% of the price of the product. Many employs of government offices, research institutes are earning commission in this way. The ministers also use the same technique to earn the money. They finalize much bigger deals like aero-planes, arms, guns, supercomputers, etc and before signing the final deal they ask the foreign company to deposit their commission in swiss bank account.

Not everybody is corrupt. Corruption is not chance based, it is attitude based. I believe there are still some honest people left.

once a dacoit told, "I am the most honest person in the world as i don't steal anything, neither do i commit robbery. i only kill people by shooting them in the head and then take away their money. So I am an honest man."

The King pin or so to say the Queen Pin of all the corruption in this country is the Italian Mata who like Mata Hari is playing a double game.On one hand she is behaving as the most innocent and most caring person of the Aam Admi and shouting at the top of her voice to end the Corruption and on the other hand she is letting loose her faithful dogs to insult those in public who are trying to end corruption.
Dhanya HO Mata and her Chaplus.

Satish, Its not alone Congress which is responsible, though its a tough time and Congress has been culprit for the maximum scams in this country as per the data which is shown. The problem lies in DRDO and my dad works in one of them with a salary of 7k there monthly, i had seen how is manager is making money by giving simple to big contracts to private vendors and making money. I hope all these DRDO closes and we can save the tax payers money

Seems that there is no end of the scams happend within the stint of this government, we people of India have taken it for granted as of now. Definitely, the political parties who forms UPA II, will be washed out in the next parliamentary election.

Middleman
by Asim Mehtani on Jun 15, 2011 01:49 PM  | Hide replies

There is no other option left except bribing while purchasing the arms and weapons. The reason behind is that any Govt. cannot approach directly to the seller. Therefore, it has to go through middleman, and middleman has to be paid.

exactly... arms deals involves world's best crooks... as if they will come and gift them to CAG for government price..... heck a farmer cannot sell his produce on govt. price ...too many middlemen squeeze him up and you talk about sophisticated arms
