True. The issue is Jan LOkPal and bringing back the Black money from abroad. But this Congress is talking of BJP, RSS destabilizing the democratically elected Govt and other non sense, but not about the main issue.THis shows their fear psychosis.

sometimes its good to hear the other side of the story. just becoz u think what ur baba is doing is right, does not make it right..so please learn to be tolerant of others views and opinions, as this is a democracy, much as u dont like it this way.
Mr. Navneet I just checked about you in orkut you are biased with INC corrupt leaders. You are freelance journalist to write in favor of INC. We Hope you blog about there was no scam in telecom (2G), No scam in CWG, INC is clear and respect Fundamental Right of Indian Citizen.
I think people have always prenotioned ideas and can not see it judiciously. Does it serve democracy when people sleeing in the night including women and childeren are attacked by police without giving time to baba and gullble public which came from different states of the country as baba had told people from delhi and adjioning areas to go to their homes in the evening. Where was the threat of disturbance even the area being muslim area, when the baba has support of all communities since he started as a yoga propagator. !,2,3 and fire, was the maxim followed by kapil sibal, when one warning after anothe failed to convince baba to announce closing of the satyagraha, which nothing but dictatorship

kapil sibal's statements clearly indicates we are in a " silent emergency " which is going on from a couple of years, it's now we are feeling the tip of that iceberg! the barbaric act of congress ministers have made us think whether we are heading towards communism where all rights are curbed for citizens or have we got used to the slavery and dictatorship of congress
The article says he is Freelance journalist and blogger, seems to be a completely fake indivisual, probably a rediff staffer who was paid over time to write such blasphamous article. rediff, please cover some news from Haridwar too where Baba Ramdev along with thousand supporters is protesting for a genuine cause. Absurd & Government sponsored aricle
I was both surprised and shocked to read your article. An unarmed person with his team has staged a peaceful demonstration against the Govt which is a democratic process. Irrespective of who his supporters and followers are, I am sure nobody can deny the core issue of his fast. It was to bring back the black money stashed away in foreign banks on which the Govt needed to act and act fast enough.
If you agree that in a democracy, the Govt is answerable to the people as they are the elected representatives of the people. They are accountable for their actions or lack of actions. Similarly, a peaceful demonstration like a hunger strike, which is not causing any disruption to public life or posing any threat to national security or property, has to be viewed as a democratic process only.
No democratic Govt has any right to treat its citizens this way just because they are protesting. By writing what you have written, you are (probably unknowingly) violating with the right to freedom of speech. If this continues and is allowed, all the protests will be banned. There will be no freedom of speech. Will that be compliant to our constitution? And freedom of speech or protests are banned in autocratic or dictatorship situations. I don't think any matured democracy in the world is forcefully banning protests.
Also, the manner in which the protestors were dealt with was totally inhuman. Is this democracy?

At the dead of night, police came and lathicharged the sleeping women, children and the aged. They fired teargas shells. There could have been fires, and even a stampede which could have resulted in many deaths. It was only fortunate that no life was lost. But many protestors were mercilessly beaten up by the police.
If you are supporting such barbaric act, you need to rethink your position as a media personnel.
Are you neutral? Are you writing responsibly?
Also you are pointing at the movement as an act of challenging the Govt. So are you trying to say that no matter what the Govt wants to do, it should not be challenged?
The common people of the country who elect the politicians to rule them, to usurp their hard-earned money, to decide their fate has no right to ask questions when they are not satisfied?
I think you are confusing democracy with dictatorship. What you are writing is correct if India was under a dictoator.
Or are you suggesting that it is already under one? Only in the name of Democracy?
