In India jobs in Military/Police are just like any other Govt. jobs. and the difference is the wearing of uniform and authorized to carry arms in open or else the professionalism what can be seen in European force is completely missing it. The problem starts from the selection process to training. We need to select military/police personnel, especially at lower rank with much more professionalism, not based on the region or economy class.

police is rather controlled by underworld their postings in lucrative police stations and transfers. some dirty cops are informer to underworld that is clear as sun light god save us?
Ok Ladies and Gentlemen and the not-so-gentlemen and not-so-ladies and the corrupt and the uncorrupt of India, this is a great comic parody. DRDO is as inefficient and money sucker as an ordinary minister. They produce products for srap not for use. So all above devices are "objects of Beauty" and not "objects of destruction". DRDO could as well send these for a beauty pageant and guess what they will actually win it, but if soldiers take these for a mission critical combat, the machines would fail and give up. So remember that when it comes to combat, India can be defeated in an hour by the smallest country.

nonsense brother. in spite of the corruption in politics we can defeat most countries in the world.
These programmes moves in snail pace due to shortage of funding and other obstacles which are deliberatly done by Bureaucates and politicians.Huge commissions in defence deals is the main reason why our country do not invest in R&D and indigenious production of Defence requirements. We have abundance talent and the high tech youth are ready to work for such projects even for a mere salary but the treatment meted out to them from the high officials making them to look for better options.

Its a myth that India has abundant talent and high tech youth. yes we have unbearable number of youth who do not know what research is and they dont have any motivation or passion for research including top institutes in India.
Govt is doing everything ...giving fat salaries and equipment.
The passionate batch was the indians in 1960's 70's...they are over. whatever is present is nothing but timepass and big talks batch.
Unless India and produce the defense equipment it needs, we will be victims of terrorism. The terrorism that exist in the region now is a weapon selling promotional activity. From the region weapon producing nations get improvised people ready to die & kill. They make sure that these people get weapons from non governmental agencies. They enjoy when thousands die here but get concerned if some ham is done to their citizen.
We have abundant resources but still we are no way near super powers. I dont see any superior fighter aircrafts or battle tanks. Our threat perception might by China and Pak but still we need to think on larger perception. We need these kinds of equipments not for attack but for defence. Instead of trying to buy from foregn firms and try to earn money by brokering deals government should think in a notionalistic point and support idegenious development of weapons. No body should ever think to attack us or support terrorist activities by looking at our defence programs, this should be the outcome of our power.

u dont see any high tank planes or tanks is because they are not parked next to your house.
If these toys really work Indian army should stop purchasing civilian and mil helicopters and aircrafts.from other countries..which seems to be not the case. By the way why wasnt that UAV Nihant or otherone was not used to locate missing helicopters of CM ofAP or CM ofArunachal pradesh?
Re: Why
by gaurav thakkar on Jun 05, 2011 11:51 AM
the terrain was mountainous in arunachal prad and dense jungles in AP. Satellite imagery and UAVS were both used in bothe the ops. but due to the terrain (obviously satellite and uavs cannot penetrate through thick forest or mountains). u can read about similar incidences in other country. 1 american businessman dissapeared in hot air balloon and was never found.
Re: Re: Why

Oho...Then there is no use if these UAV's can detect enemy only if he is standing in broad day light on a plain land. No enemy with an iota of common sense would do that.
Its a fashion for our people to find out a mistake happened sometime somewhere in the entire world and justify the mistakes happened in India.
when you compare US, you should also compare US drones.
DRDO's potential to develop and indegenously build missiles and rocket systems is simply mindboggling. This has become possible because of the unstinted financail help and the eminant team of top notch scientists in the country.
Let more and more potential youngsters in the country with a scientific temper be given an opportunity to bloom and blossom to realise their potential, be of use to the society and the country.

Any one can do that it is easy. Measure a a square peg corner to corner and drill a round hole to match your measurements. Now your square peg will fit in a round hole. Try it.
