Value of life
by arungopal agarwal on Jul 13, 2011 12:48 PM

Life of govt. servants, politicians are very valueable, common mans life has a price of 1 to 5 lacs, i.e. too given to kins after a long struggle.
Our total system is vote bank politics, Instead of providing reservations to grandsons of Schedule Castes(as no new family is getting it) we must ensure total reservations for those who do not have any income source in particular victims of accidents, terrorism, calamities and widows. etc.,etc.,if not for higher posts at least for lower posts so that they pull on in their life.

Indian governance is looter's governance.

Look at China, how they are beautifying and glorifying the country every day.You need not be a commie to change the country. You need to sincere.Modi or commie, what is needed is will.

When people donot learn to maintain cleanliness, the government has to enforce it.But her netas are only worried about making billions and thinking about marriage of family members, investment in sugar mill, opening account in bank of mauritius.

So,we have to shun monarchy aka dummy democracy unless government shows strong resolve to enforce change on people.

There is no meaning of freedom of speech to speak bullshit when we live among cow-shi1ts and d0g-shi1ts..

All important ministries should go to professionals. These election system needs to be abolished.IAS,IPS officers,IIM IIT graduates should be appointed as minister. If not from these other guys with excellence in any field deserves important portfolios.

Indian railway is 50 years behind Chinese railway now. This is shameful.

We donot need jugadu change,we need sustainable and futuristic change in our country.

Indian population will look very small if resources are utilised properly and infrastructure is developed adequately.

Even after having 1.35 billion population, china seems to have no people because of well developed infrastructure, housing etc.

"India is a feudal system under the garb of Democracy" - rightly said.

We can at best talk about all this freely - that's all our democracy permits us - it doesn't allow us to change things.

India has good Laws on paper - none of it is enforced - and it is invoked on the law abiding citizen in order to extract some bribe from him.

Historically live or death in India is imp only if it gives political mileage!!! let us accept this fact and then start any debate!!!!
Let PM of india who claim to know everything on earth realize this first. The discipline flows from top to bottom and not vice versa!!!!

Today it is Railways, tomorrow it is going to be Power
by A Singh on Jul 13, 2011 12:41 PM

Bulk of the Railways Network was laid by the British. Though the Britishers are known to provide a very high 'Factor of Safety' in their designs, there is a limit to sustenance of everything, particularly if it is not being maintained properly. Railway Ministers keep announcing new trains every year, without ever bothering about the adequacy of the infrastructure, and the limits of the manpower to handle the extra burden.
A similar philosophy is being employed in other areas of public interest, the prime amongst them being Power. Bulk of the infrastructure laid in Power Sector is 35-50 years old, and as the Power Sector is not making adequate profits, due attention is not being paid to the maintenance of the assets. Also, the newer assets are not designed with as much 'factor of safety' as the earlier ones. This may lead to a very fast collapse of Power system infrastructure very fast.

precisely...Our fellow countryman attitude is pathetic when it comes to etiquette in public.

If rules are framed for the safety etc., we try to break it first rather than fallowing
