this is real disgusting incident as mafia now become a part of our life trying to keep law at their feet.shameful to our system. Can we awake or will try to forget the incident as usual
I get really depressed reading this kind of news. We like minded people should join hands and form a group which will fight for the justice to the honest souls and their families. If you care, join hands with me and drop a response to my rediffmail email id which is martin4u_1
For me, the whole incident does not make sense. With all respects, this seems to be a typical case of hafta vasuli from Oil mafia. Why else, will such a senior person be alone with just a driver who has escaped unhurt from the incidence? Senior police normally go around with a number of constables for a raid or anything. Anyway, Indian society requires some cleansing from within failing which, corruption will reach unimaginable heights. People are getting more and more shameless each passing day.

he is a district collector you fool, not a DCP!! Also, he was not on any raid mission, he was visiting a village to listen to onion farmers...this incident happened on the way back from there.
There is a reason a person should read the article completely, that's the problem with you indians, that is why you are still buying weapons from Russia and technology from America.

hope you are foreigner.... Things in India are like this, when a person of high stature dies everybody cries but when a policeman gets killed by road side goon, nobody talks, even nobody cares... We all want kicks to talk and these incident gives us kicks .....
the 7 held may be some innocent poor road side starving rag pickers...will be beaten till their flesh comes out of their mouth and thus made to confess the offense and then the case will be closed, the court rules that all guilty punished and it's a beautiful world all over again....May Sonawane's soul rest in peace...This is the Republic Of India celebrating Republic day with pride after 60 years of Independence.

You stole words out of my mouth. India has terminal cancer of corruption, this is the end for this civilization. They are doing what the British and Islamic invaders couldn't do.

We are the people who has double standards...when a man goes to police and had to pay bribe he cries foul and in the same evening he take bribe from agency to pass bill.....Media publishes all this breaking news in afternoon and threaten a Factory owner to ruin his business if he donot agree with sponsership...so the story goes on aand on...sorry I donot want to undress all as we have the samething underneath....
Indian really have very short memory. It seems that the kin of Sonawane, have forgotten the CBI's Bad track record. They have forgotten the fate of many cases like Bofors, Arushi Murder case, Nithari Kand, CWG scam, ShareMarket Scam, Adarsh society scam, Fodder scam, 2G scam & many more.
how about dousing them in fire in public..the way they did to the ADC..by the way our great Indian law wont allow eye for an eye..if an ADC could spot the crime in 5 minutes how come Manmad police fail to recognize an incident going on for 30 years...
