Use your commonsense..
by Aravind VR on Feb 08, 2011 11:54 AM  | Hide replies

In the current year the NREGA works completed in the country is 3% of the sanctioned works, while it is 31% and 24% in kerala and WB respectively. Central govt. tells this is because of the strong local self govts. in these 2 states that could implement the scheme this efficiently. LSGs in these 2 states has also made possible the excellent achievements of these 2 states in education and health which made the HDIs of these states best in the country.

Due to land reforms millions of families got land in the two states. Those who got land in WB constitutes even 54% of the total beneficiaries of land reforms taken place anywhere in the country. After the completion of EMS housing project there wont be any family in Kerala without a house, let alone land. The state would get 100% electrified within months.
Apart from these facts huge apathy exists among the public outside these states (esp. in northern India) against the communists as they believe all the lies that the rich-owned private media comes up with. People don't even use their commonsense that precisely because the communists work for the poor not the rich for which the latter is maligning them. Among those who speak ill against communists I have seen people from Bihar and Orissa aomes up with most stupid concepts, which is possibly the result of the heavy investment by the rich in these states in propagating lies against communists as they fear their loss of wealth to poor if communism spreads from WB

Use commonsense

Buddha not poorest , Manik Sarkar is
by Manas Paul on Feb 08, 2011 11:39 AM  | Hide replies

The survey was wrong at least at one count- West Begal Chief MInister Buddhadev Bhattacharjee is not the 'poorset'. His party comrade and TRipura Chief MInister Manik Sarkar is admittedly the poorest. If I refer to the statement given to EC before 2007 assembly elections he has got ONLY Rs 13,000 in bank. That's all. No personal asset..no land, no car, simply nothing. His wife Panchali Bhattacharjee being a senior central govt officer also did not have much savings except PF. If I correctly remember her gold ornaments were valued at less than Rs 10,000. She still walks down-alone- or rides a rickshaw to local markets to buy vegetables. Manik Sarkar lives a spartan life..he does not drink, does not smoke ..heard that only 50 paise snuff for two days is only luxury.. and happy with simple 'daal bhaat' with an egg omlette being the most favorite.
He would have not got even Rs 13000 in bank. All his salaries are given back to the CPM party which in turn gives him some amount for his personal spending..However, part does not take the special allowances ..like the money an MLA gets attending an assembly session..Since all government salaries are routed through banks..these speacial allowances accumulated to Rs 13,000. Sarkar is also the cleanest, most Honest Chief Minister in India. Ask anybody...

Not just Manik Sarkar, no MP or MLA from the party is a crorepati. 70 to 80% of their salaries are levied to the part and one is allowed to have a maximum salary of 15000 rupees only in CPIM.

Corepati Corrupt Politicians
by murali krishnankutty on Jan 25, 2011 05:16 PM

Can the self professed Dalit and Gharib beti clarify how she came to amass such wealth. And mind you, this is the declared wealth. How much illgotten wealth politicians like her are concealing, is anybody's guess. And what is our eunuch Income Tax department doing in the case of such looters of national exchequer and common man. Just nothing. Their rank and file is also riddled with corruption and openly takes bribe. This country is going to the dogs with nobody bothering to stem the rot at all levels of the society. Corruption politicians and bureaucrats need to be publicly flogged besides being proceeded against in specially empowered criminal courts if we want to send out a strong message against such marauding politicians and bureaucrats. WAIT, no one knows about Swis Bank Accounts
by JOHN BHATIA on Jan 25, 2011 12:21 AM

The declared amount is in white, pure white in India, but no one knows how much they have hide in their foreign bank accounts? One can be sure that Bengal CM might have no Swiss Account but all others must have. Indians should start another revolution by forcing government to open that file and captured all the looted fund using all means. Can Indians do that?

Richest CM of India
by Sundar Venkat on Jan 24, 2011 08:37 PM

Certainly Mayavati cannot be the richest CM in India, but before that Mrs. Jayalalitha Shoban Babu, the then CMof tamil nadu and Mr. Muthuvelar karunanidhi, is the present Richest CM or he may even be the richest Indian. Rediffmail has to do the exercise in digging the righteousness.

Mayawati is not richest CM!
by RN Iyengar on Jan 24, 2011 09:44 AM  | Hide replies

I think Rediff is wrong! Mr. Karunanidhi, Tamil nadu Chief Minister, is the richest of them all! Rumor has it that he is worth 25,000 crores. The problem is that his assets are under 'binami' folks and so cannot be traced easily.
Maybe they are still counting his money!!!

Karunanidhi needs such huge wealth for taking care of his 3 spouses, many children and grand children. From where do you think loads of money used for his grandson's marriage recently came from? By milking the exchequer and common man. Else how can he get filthy rich like this? Thaniyath Murali

on exposed, nothing falls in india, they are corrupt madarchoods
by E darwin on Jan 24, 2011 04:53 AM

anyone but bjp-congress nexxus should be allowed to hoist flag.

on bjp-congress hidden nexxus and corruption being exposed, nothing falls in india, they are corrupt madarchoods

...only revolution and fear of being skinned alive will make these maaadarchots run out of india with money up their aarsee back to their videshi kickback masters, the videshi masters pay/route kickbacks of the leaders that run bjp-congress nexxus.
the videshi even invited karat to videsh to be part of kickback nexxus.
they even keep lleech like mittals, vedanta, etc who lleech world capital under the gun protection and production by multiple videshi blocks.

when revolution happens, make sure videsh brokers dont hijack it like Mahatma Gandhi did when he was sent by angrez from south africa and planted in Congress.
