Most of the comments are not objetive, it is basically inspired with Hate of Muslims and their culture. Most of the hatred is product of daily dose in shakhas.

Most of the buul-crap Islamist ideologues and apologists are posting, is due to lack of logical reasoning and an inability to convince sane people that Islam treats it women wonderfully! See its adherents follow or advocate the practice of plural marriage, forced marriage, female circumcision, compulsory veiling of women, and censorship of non-Muslim magazines and media. Then what are these people fighting against? Radical Islamic beliefs that condones public stoning, pours acid in the faces of Muslim teachers & schoolgirls who want a better future and intimidation and violence. Face it, that Islam makes huge claims to be the last and final word of God and advocates practices like plural marriage, compulsory veiling of women, horrific punishments under Sharia, promotes gender inequality, etc which are against the modern liberal values that most democratic & tolerant societies accept. The wondrous treatment given to Shah Bano,Imrana, GUdiya, etc by the clergy really make a thrilling account of the wonderful traits of Islamist faith. Saw the women protesting the law justifying marital rape in Afghanistan recently or the Deobandi fatwas against women working? Dont post bull-crap about how the rights of Muslim women are enshrined in Islam, as they are blatantly discriminatory towards women! .

We are seeing the effect of Islamist ideologies which have led to fatwas which insist that Muslim women must fully cover themselves, including their faces, in front of all non-mahram males, that it is 'better' to cover even their eyes, if they can; that they cannot travel alone other than in the vicinity of their homes, without a mahram accompanying them; that they cannot travel in a vehicle alone driven by a non-mahram male; that they cannot drive cars; that they must observe purdah; that they cannot sing or play music; that their voices should be considered satr or something that must be concealed from non-mahram males; and that they and their spouses are forbidden from practising family planning on the alleged grounds that it is unlawful in Islam. Taken together, these fatwas clearly deny basic fundamental rights and almost every avenue for employment outside the domestic sphere to Muslim women. And of course the wondrous treatments given to women like Shah Bano,IMRANA, Gudiya, etc by the clergy, make a thrilling account of the wonderful traits of Islamist faith. And did you see the Deobandi fatwas against women working? The blunt fact is that in today's world, Islam & Sharia are blatantly discriminatory towards women!

Please tell that to your Mullas & Clerics, who have now also said that Telephone Nikah or Talaq, Triple Talaq through SMS or Instant Messagingvia Internet are all valid. The poor Kafirs in India have to go through court proceedings to finalize divorce & legal separation in India.

How does Islamic scholar fix it. It is written by Mr. God himself, if a scholar iterprets differently he will be beheaded, because that is also written.
The people of Arabic countries were slave traders and their practices involved exchanging wives whenever new female in a shipment was more attractive. The idea of 4 wives is of limited liability to max. 4 as wives . So these anonymous veiled women would be quietly bought & sold or exchanged without any hindrance from neighbourhood.
Today's muslim women should adopt modern dress codes and build friendships in society as per the times to safeguard own human rights.

What about male modesty? Why should modesty be state imposed?
It's time that Muslims of India adopt radical thinking and new ideas.They can prosper only if they can dump those centuries old practices and customs which hampers their development.Even Hindus instead of criticizing Islamic culture must try to facilitate their development.At time When our country is surrounded by enemies our aim as an Indian must be to build a developed and reinforced society.

why is it hindu responsibility to develop islam? why is it not muslim responsibility to develop hindutva? after all, the muslims have hindu forebears, no? what do hindus owe to islam, the raison detre for historic and current, and i bet future too, mayhem? don't try to tame a scorpion.

help muslims, not islam. that's the radical thinking you need. you will see there is no greater way to express tolerance either. if you love muslims enough, and you should, then help them shed islam, re-export it back to saudi arabia, and assimilate them in indian mainstream. yesterday 200 muslims were rehabbed away from islam.

This is not about community but about freedom of women and violence against them. If u r a human being you should admit it as we have admitted that the sati daha and other blind beliefs are agains women in our community. But I know u r never going to admit it in the name of Islam.
