Congratulations!Although it has taken years to have this aircraft flying, what is important is,now we have a fighter aircraft that is our very own.Inshallah, from now on we will be able to achieve self sufficiency in manufacturing aircrafts and owning them.Next in line is Sarus.I love to see that aircraft as well flying.

DELTA WING ?
by mukteshwar on Jan 10, 2011 05:18 PM

When i can say that atleast ,after 22 yrs of drawing board invention ,"something " is out in the sky, i wonder whether it would meet the safety figure of military aviation. the world over "delta"wing fighters are flying coffins.e.g MIG21 AND ITS VARIANTS,which had a "mushing" error at low speed and nose up attitude which is responsible for for maximum death of our pilots.but mirage 2000 has modified it by a canard wing near its nose, which i see is missing in tejas. when i don't want to be a "doubting thomas",i hope our yong pilots come back safely after every sortie.

We will now see pakistan running to china for similar joint development of aircraft...i think pakistan has already initiated treaty with china for this process...by the time IAF starts using these fighters...we will hear pakistan developing its own LCAs which if u scratch one will get to see all chinese letters on it..

sahi bola guru but don't worry, our LION Singh prime minister is briefed DAILY by intelligence agencies and he is not unaware of such threats.

Indian govt under congress follow the motto -- delete the threats before they emerge. They are proactive not reactive like BJP and such scoundrals

Team making untiring efforts for decades, need to be congratulated on this day for their patience and success story now coming. Many of them might have retired long back or even died , not so fortunate to see this day of their life.
Our own LCA is far better than what we receive as black box. Here atleast we know every nut and bolt !!
Here once again congratulations !!

There is a lot of distance to go in developing our indigeneous engines and parts which LCA might be importing. Let us hope this hurdle is overcome fast....
