No I dont think terrorism has any color at all. Saffron or green. But there are few bad apples everywhere who are perpetually burning in hate because they can only hate. But they dont realise that their hate wont change the realities on the ground. They will still wake up tomorrow to find 200 million muslims and 800 million hindus in India. And for most of them the only country they will ever see is India. They are inseparable. And your comment would have been valid if you had made it in 1947-48. Things are all settled now.

To know why India has been left behind so badly in its race with China we have to read the comments on rediff forum. Indians are totally fixated with one country. A country that is fifth of its size and every achievement or loss is compared against Pakistan. Meanwhile China chose to compete with US and just yesterday it revealed that it has achieved stealth technology. Choosing the right enemy is also an art which India should have learnt long ago. But reading the rediff message boards it appears the we are only going to be good enuf to beat one country in the world.

Not by India's choice, but forced lock-up with Pakistan, by latter's insistence. India has only confused itself by attaching a 'friend' tag to everyone, including declared enemies ! Mr X, two points - One, Indians are left behind because we are perpetually under threat not only from across the border, but also from the 'rotten apples' inside the country. And the present ruling class is also happy to s.u.c.k up to them. If we can behave like China, all these 'creatures' would have been shown their place. And sadly, the Gujarat model only seems to work. Secondly every Hindu will pledge they will put their country ahead of their their religion. Will Muslims do that.
