Don't interchangeable use communists and dictatorship. Not all communist/ communist country believe in dictatorship and authoritarian rule.
Dr. Sen is left leaning activist BUT not believe in violence and supression. He fought against it and asked for more freedom and liberty for everyone. He has worked for 30 years and only now a fake charge passing on a letter is slapped on him.
I am very surprised that all urban educated youths [who are mostly commenting here] doesn't believe other things Govt say for their face value and do their own research BUT when it comes to this issue of Human rights and Tribals, you believe blindly if Govt alleges anyone as Maoist. This is very bad precedence.
Tomorrow anyone who opposed Govt can be accused of Maoism and jailed for life. Read various editorials which clearly speaks about holes in this case and how law was bent to jail him.

INDIA NEEDS MANY SMALLER parties from different states/regions and they should unite to curb bjp-congress nexxus. leftist should join smaller parties as well by shrugging videshi influence and idealogy.
UTIMATELY, India needs direct election of PM and CM by people, nothing indirect called ANARCHY as it is today...
sure... she must try seeking political asylum and then see how many accept her and her daughters? Govts in western countries had long used political asylum as a stick to beat Eastern and Asian countries to highlight human rights issues. It was also a period when these countries were growing very fast and they needed manpower to fuel the growth. Most seekers of political asylum were among the middle and upper middle class minorities in poor countries that was willing to relocate for a better quality of life as well.
However migrating as an asylum seeker has led to unhappiness with the local populance who see them as competitors and a drain on their own resources. Today some of the smaller countries in Europe have as much as 6-7% of assorted immigrants in their population and clearly their policies are not welcoming even highly qualified professionals. Does Mrs Sen still think that she would be welcomed in the west where already terrorism arising for minority communities is a major political issue.
I am shocked to see the view of fellow Indians against the anxiety of Mrs. Sen. I think they are right thinking people caught between a corrupt government and violent naxalites. After all the scams and corruption it is cheerful to see the faith Indians have in their judicial system

did your husband get implicated in any case? did you bother to read the case details and how the case lacks merit? are you aware of the fact that the judgmeent has been made on filmsy evidence disproved by teh defence team?
Are you aware that Jethmalani has offered to take up this case as he believes there is very little to convict Dr. Sen. Are you aware of Mr. Sen social work ?
Stop writing such CRAP and passing comments on cases you dont bother to read and understand.
After her communist husband has been convicted this lady wants to go to democratic country!!!! Why not she seek aslyum in China and north korea who share the same idelogy as her husband.
