Saffron grows in Kashmir. KM's and their several offshoot terror organizations add up to Saffron terror.
My question is why do these fishermen repeatedly cross the International maritime border and cross over to their area? No other Govt or Navy is like our Govt which is spineless. If at all we had spine such countries would have never dared to do this to our fishermen.

If our fishermen violate the maritime border they are at fault. It is to the credit of the Govt that they have been brought back.In the past when the LTTE was in control of the Jaffna peninsula Indian fishermen had a free run.Now since the war is over the Sri Lankan fisherfolk would definitely not appreciate Indians poaching their waters. If India bulldozes her way it would definitely be construed as hegemonic by our neighbour. However,as far as international waters are concerned these cannot be divided by identifiable landmarks as inland. The need is therefore to have a workable arrangement so that unintentional intruders are directed back to Indian waters and vice versa.Incidentally, tiger prawns and other lobsters are found in larger quantity in Sri Lankan waters. So hold your horses before blaming the Indian Govt.

Thomas, these people have fished in these waters for centuries. The conflict zone is the area around Kachativu island which was ceded by India to Sri Lanka. Do you understand the problem? If you have been drawing water from the only well within a radius of 50 kms, and tomorrow, that well is given away to a third party who imposes a complete ban on water drawing rights, what will you do?

things are not that serious , what drive you to conclude that we have divided by looking into this issue ? , friend use some logic before commenting , there are certain rules for international sea border .

The bone of contention is the area surrounding Kachativu island which GoI donated to Sri Lanka back in the days. The fishermen have been fishing those waters for probably centuries, and find it hard to resist the lure of a good catch in the area surrounding an uninhabited island. The two govts should reach a compromise. Our government is spineless. You have massive Russian and East European mechanized boats fishing in Indian waters fishing off the coast of Kerala, and they often fire at Indian fishermen fishing in Indian waters. Our government is impotent, what to do. We are sissys only :(

Was that your best comeback line? A Paki? Do you even know the history of the conflict? Go read your previous two posts and it should dawn on you what a douchebag you are. Prove me wrong and I will retract my statement.
