virendra gupta
our country
by virendra gupta on Feb 21, 2011 04:56 PM  | Hide replies

This is a short sighted question-how Dr singh saves his Gavernment. The REAL qyestion is how do we save our country from continuous degradation of GOVERNANCE.
ROOT CAUSE-our constitution which permits people of criminal background to occupy governance posts and to flout all norms-and mind you , all constitutionally and legally.
We have to put a stop to this. We already have had Rajeev Gandhi, Dewe Goidaa, Inder Kumar Gujral etc sprung from nowhere. All was costitutional.
Now we have about 270 MP's chaeged for various offences including murder, spose abuse etc. 71 have bad cridit history, 84 have paid fines for offences etc.
Similar is the status in state legislatures.
What governance do you expect from such "LEADERS".
So please, please do not weep or feel frustrated, let us speak against this single problem. If solved, you will see better people in politics and hence in governance.
All the best my countrymen.
Virendra

It is clear that the form of Governance selected for India by "The Architect of Modern India" was totally flawed. Popularity is confused with Capability. It has taken such a short while for the country to slip up so badly. Ofcourse there ws able help in these slip ups, by the family members of "The ArchitectofModern India" and more are waiting to contribute their mite.

It will be unrealistic to expect any change. The main factor is that the change has to come from our Elected Reps themselves and surely they will do no such thing.

R Balasubramanian
its not dharma but drama
by R Balasubramanian on Feb 21, 2011 04:54 PM

MMS has used a wrong word dharma. It should be drama. None of the coalition partners have vested so much powers in forming the ministry than DMK in the present government. The dharma is to safeguard the interest and requirement of people, upliftment of people, taking care of people basic requirements like sanitation, health, water, education, etc., and not blindly allowing few persons to loot and taking cover under Caste and religion.
The name and fame what MMS has earned has got drowned in the gutter of glaring scams right under his nose and yet he remained a mute spectator and more so defends his action.

Jaya is a good orator but not a clean hand. She should not forget her past arrogance, alliance with her adopted sister Sasikala, who was just running a video shop and commuting in rickshaw and latter virtually blackmailed Jaya taking advantage of her personal weakness.

She should remember that, when you point one finger at other, the remaining four points to self.

Its for people to decide what type of leaders they desire in future.

Jayalalitha is in a 'pitiable' state...
by Babu on Feb 21, 2011 04:53 PM  | Hide replies

Jayalalitha today is in a pitiable state and finds herself in a catch 22 situation. If she wins the oncoming election, she is gonna do that with the help of umpteen parties and would effectively be running a 'Minority Government', which she hitherto had been attributing to DMK.

Similarly if she fails, it would tantamount to a 'Political Oblivion and subsequent exile apart from ADMK being wiped out of existence'. Adding salt to this state, she also finds herself in a situation where her past omissions and commissions catching up with her, in the form of Judicial action against amassing unaccounted wealth, FEMA violation, land grabbing and a whole lot of other issues.

Jayalalitha, it would seem almost never had a say on her life, since her entry into cinema which subsequently coerced her to enter into politics, as her personal life aspirations were stampeded upon, making her to react for her own safety.

The coterie she managed to invest her future in after entering politics and becoming Chief Minister twice, apart from her own personal commissions and omissions had pushed Jeyalalitha to where she is now.

Even a cutthroat feminist would find 'Jayalalitha's' past a 'Nightmare' as it had always been controlled by forces that she should have detested in the recesses of her heart.
