The Road Not Taken ....yet

Two roads diverged in a wood,.... Robert Frost

-----------------
Mr. Ajit Sahi has asked the right question, but the pointer to what next is not given best perhaps by Mr Atul Aneja in The Hindu. The military dictator is seemingly well advised to maintain iron grip over Egypt. All they are likely to permit is bit of tinkering bot no real let up. Since 1952 military rulers have been at helm, and prior to that there was Monarchy.

For democracy to happen, it must be done right; and it is never easy to determine what is right. For the truth to emerge and sink in the consciousness it must be debated. But the military dispensation have no inclination to do such PhD. The priority it seems is to fast forward with a specific set of limited agenda.

May be they will listen to legal experts with international administrative experience like Mr ElBaradei and debate not just on outcomes but how to proceed. Pt Nehru knew what he was doing as the first PM when he expressed intent to lay foundation for democracy which would last for thousands of years.

They need to get the vision right, the emotions right, the law right and collect whole hearted acceptance of all major cultural communities and political sections. These do not come easy.

egypt's problem really wasn't freedom from mubarak
by shilpy on Feb 16, 2011 07:39 AM

egypt's real problem is freedom from islam. they all should convert back to the religion of pyramid makers, their forebears, if they want real freedom.

Egypt, what next?

One more terror country will be added to the existing Pakistan. The Terror Satan is slowly taking Muslim countries one by one and create chaos all over the world in the name of Jihad. Of course, the credit should go to America where Lucifer is stationed. America will be destroyed and the Lucifer will run away. Israel, be prepared for your survival as all the army of Satan will target you.

When Egyptians were building Pyramids 5000 BC

Most Europeans were roaming in forest collecting roots and plants and killing with spears.

Such an advanced civilization, hope they settle down to normalcy quickly

As if people is bothered about cultural advancement. People believe money and power are the only thing that matters. This is evidenced by resurgence if China and India in last 50 years. Both India and China were world leaders about two thousand years back. Countless foreign invasions have made us develop inferiority complex. No problem. Times are about to change for the good.

Its a cycle dear
