I congratulate Chattisgarh High Court
by vijaya kumar on Feb 10, 2011 06:16 PM

Take the Arushi case. There are rumors about the Talwars having contacts in high places. The CBI had filed a closure report. Despite all this, a CBI Special Judge (a LADY judge no less) in a lawless place like Ghaziabad had the courage to put the Talwar couple to trial despite the media frenzy/support created around them. In this case too, there has been immense international pressure. Amnesty International, Nobel laureates, European Union officials have also sought to interfere in the internal security matter of our country. The Indian govt. has been criticized world over by the leftist-liberal sections of civil society and public media. I feel we should congratulate the Chattisgarh High Court for not buckling under such immense pressure and deciding the case on merits. Whether Binayak Sen is guilty or not is for the COURTS to decide, NOT THE ACTIVISTS AND PUBLIC MEDIA. As a post script, I want to question the 40 Nobel laureates who petitioned for the release of Binayal Sen. Have they ever raised their voices against the various human right violations of the Western countries, the biggest being the hell-hole in the form of Guantanamo Bay. Why should India be expected to compromise its national security and safety of its people against the deadly threat of Naxalims when the developed countries launch international wars for flimsy, unsubstantiated reasons like WMD in Iraq

I also donot support killing of people, but root cause of all these problems are successive greedy, selfish goverments which had promoted their personal causes and allowed the country reach this situation.

Yes ,I can imagine.I also can imagine, how many people die in the country every day due to mal-nutrition and poverty.

I also can imagine, how many farmers commit suicide due to failed crop.

I also can imagine, how may peole die every day in car accidents due to lack of proper roads.

I also can imagine how many people die every day due to lack of medical care.

So,who are responsible for all these deaths? Those who are in power and siphoning out trillions looting the country and depositing in foreign accounts.

So,are they not anti-nationals?Do they not deserve capital punishment for betraying the nation for personal gains?

A per Queen's wish:Wikepedia:Dr Binayak Sen
by om shanti on Feb 10, 2011 05:38 PM  | Hide replies

It is clear from the below statement, whatever is happening in this case is as per the wish of Queen of England as India is a commonwealth country:

On 7 June 2007, the British House of Commons published an Early Day Motion entitled "Arrest of Dr. Binayak Sen" supported by several Members of Parliament across party lines, including Diane Abbott (Labour), Peter Bottomley (Conservative), John Hemming (Liberal Democrat), Dai Davies (Independent, Wales), Mike Weir (Scottish NP), among others.[28]

On 9 June 2007, the British Medical Journal published an article about Sen's arrest. It states that Ramesh Gopalakrishnan, of Amnesty International, offered the following comment to BMJ about the supposed charges: "These offences allow sweeping interpretations of criminal intent. Activists in India are arrested all the time on such charges, which give wide, arbitrary powers to police." The same BMJ article reports a protest, outside the Indian High Commission in London, whose organiser is quoted as saying, "Dr Sen is a champion of peace and fair play and an internationally respected medical doctor who has devoted his whole life to peaceful service of the poorest people. He should be released immediately."[29]

Noam Chomsky and several other prominent figures issued a press statement dated 16 June 2007 alleging that "Dr Sen's arrest is clearly an attempt to intimidate PUCL and other democr

and other democratic voices that have been speaking out against human rights violations in the state.".

Sen was the recipient in 2004 of the Paul Harrison award for a lifetime of service to the rural poor. This award is given annually by the Christian Medical College in Vellore, India to its alumni.

Sen was awarded the R.R. Keithan Gold Medal by The Indian Academy of Social Sciences (ISSA) on 31 December 2007. The citation describes him as "one of the most eminent scientists" of India. "The award is for his outstanding contribution to the advancement of science of Nature-Man-Society and his honest and sincere application for the improvement of quality of life of the poor, the downtrodden and the oppressed people of Chhattisgarh." His "suffering and personal risk" would inspire scientists as well as the general public for a very long time, according to the citation.[18]

Sen was selected for the Jonathan Mann Award for Global Health and Human Rights in 2008.[19][20] The Global Health Council issued a public statement, "Dr. Sen's accomplishments speak volumes about what can be achieved in very poor areas when health practitioners are also committed community leaders. He staffed a hospital created by and funded by impoverished mine workers, and he has spent his lifetime educating people about health practices and civil liberties—providing information tha

providing information that has saved lives and improved conditions for thousands of people. His good works need to be recognized as a major contribution to India and to global health; they are certainly not a threat to state security..

So,does he deserve a nobel prize? Will the nobel prize be awarded to empty chair? Think, think, think !

He will get nobel prize for 2 reasons
He supports chriian conversion via naxals and its the chriian agencies who give him funds and prizes galore to further their anti-national agenda.

So he deserves nobel prize. Gandhi was refused nobel prize for the sole reason he never agreed to conversion and actively opposed to conversion and wanted such activities banned.

only ignorant ppl get fooled by these half baked knowledge.

Anyway what was he doing going to naxal idealouge 33 times in 30 days during the period he was under surveillance ?

tending to the poor ?
