There is just a short mention of some HareKrishna movement and rest all pages about others. This was started along with ISKON and is one of the most successful projects. This is a different scheme in a sense its not having a hidden agenda to convert poor people by feeding food. Recently Congress party due to its anti-hindu nature tried to demonise this foundation to appease muslim and christian fundamentalists who are not able tolerate a hindu org succeeding in helping indians due to which they cannot convert poor people anymore. The Judicial committee has already gave the report that all allegations are false and its indeed a great social scheme. Its surprising Rediff and this reporter did not give ISKON its due credit. Its obvious the conversion mafia and jihadis will oppose this, its their job, but liberal muslims and christins and all hindus need not listen to them and just need to support this cause by donating, it is only helping our poor children of India.
Take it or leave it. its market driven economy, whole world is adopting this, india cant remain seperate. India's economy is adjusting to world economy (Courtesy we were sleeping for long time). Only way the price can be controlled is when we have developed massive technology to produce food and othre stuff. more production will bring down prices. just like cell phone. more production, more abailability, less price, many people can afford it. Govt cant do anything. keep dreaming. i know its painful for many indians who dont have job. but there is no magic button. we have to go through this. we have to bite the bullet. but as we grow, produce more quality stuff on large scale. stuff will be easily available. but it wont get much cheaper since we are gonna be linked to world economy. to travell 50 miles in india we pay Rs 50, in US they pay Rs 1000. you see ? thats why i am saying we live in global village, be ready to face the hard reality. meanwhile dont worry about prices, just focus on producing more. thats all. jai hind

But my points to readers are that....
There are tons of wheat and other grains rotten in the FCI godons. There are millions of dollars in Swiss Bank Our Politian are getting richer and richer day by day ( they are ready to spend money to make elephant parks- our gr8 bahanji). There are Ambanis have house with 300 staff at his home ( i never heard that his organization spend even a rupee to any social cause) There are tax evaders of million dollars in India There are people ready to die and kill for religions
Our country leadership do not have any wish/ feel responsible to look after thousands kids like this..........

Akshay patra is providing good quality food to children. Where parents are failing, Akshay patra is delivering. We should encourage akshay patra. Because it is a hungry stomach, which makes children to grow up to become criminals/anti-social. I know some poor parents who are sending children to school only because they are getting good food there

Good point Sir Yes they are our children. This appears to be a great program. In Hyderabad some companies have given (donation) machines to make food faster and easier.

they are doing at least some useful work which is helping poor parents. they are far far better than land grabbers, land de-notifiers, spectrum sellers, game planners :-) . And guys (including me :-) ) reading this non sense rediff and more over commenting on the news. we well educated people keep talking about all the problems but never vote and standing in Q wastes our time. but we are happy to waste time on browsing and reading non sense

In Karnataka, there is a strong protest that these people should stop showing those eye-tearing pictures of children and collect money...IT IS STILL CONTINUING....it is the other form of begging but in lakhs and crores...

Why dont you stop the missionaries of charity which gobbled up billions of dollar and yet to feed a 100,000 people? They divert all the money to north east and start conversion.
