It has been speculated that the final round of talks between Indira and Bhutto was supposed to be recorded for future use and proof of talks. It was then found out that the tape recorder malfunctioned and when the pakis came to know of this, they backtracked. Is is true or was it delibrately done by somebody in our camp.
IT WAS A WELL CO-ORDINATED AND CO-OPERATED OPERATION ever carried out by any body in India. the credit goes to INdra Gandhi for having implicit faith in the defence forces and leaving them to do their job,after defining the political objectivity.
this has resulted in an un-precedented victory for the indian armed forces,wher in 90,000 pakistani soldiers surrendered to indian army,a feat never ever done even in world wars.! aslo indian army captured very very tactically important areas in pakistan in western sector.
mr.bhutto was ready to do anything or give away anything to india to get back the 90,000 pakistani soldiers held in india as POWs. but,Alas!Indira Gandhi did not play her cards properly and released alALL THE PAKISTANI SOLDIERS UN-CONDITIONALLY AND RETURNED THE CAPTURED PAKISTANI TERRITIRY back to Pakistan.
had she negotiated for kashmir at that point of time, we would have solved the Kashmir problem once and for all during the simla agreement signed by mr.Bhutto and smt.Indira Gandhi. she gave away every thing what were achived by the indian armed forces,freely to pakistan and failed to capitalise the situation . may be because INDRA GANDHI WAS a KASHMIRI ?
3 blunders from 1971 till date. Is there any learning or "as is where is"? India needs today more discipline in it's SYSTEM by improving legal & moral laws.
These fellows killed one million people, affected 200000 women and destroyed the very fabric of humanity in every which way possible. These jerks first targeted Hind women, then Hind; men then went after their own. None of these fellows should have been allowed to go Scott free. Even now, these fellows should be brought to justice.
