As I understand, none has doubted Dr. Swamy's credential as professor. It would have been pertinent if he was romoved on charges of incometency. His article was in context of communal harmony and not economic benefits due to communal harmony. One should appreciate that he has guts to say his mind and face the adversity. Most of the indians are racist themselves, but would desist from airing their views in public for they want to be seen as one among the herd. Unfortunately, the signature move was initiated by Indians with no sense of results w.r.t. subject in economics. In India, there has not been so much of uproar on the article simply because not many have read it. There are far more communal speeches, would you ban every person speaking on those lines... better would be to ignore them.

Everyone has right to express his views. Do you discard people in your life just because their views do not conform to yours? It is a case of lost objectivity. The central issue should be whether he is competent in economics or not. During the course, he is not going to speak about what he thinks on the communal harmony. Teaching economics and talking on collective wisdom based on religion are two different fields. He being a public figure, is being brought into limelight.
The true character of Swamy has come wide open. Wonder how come such a person is made professor in Harvard. Swamy is not a person of integrity, accountability, dignity and sensibility.
He is a fanatic, divisive, intolerant and ill-informed person. His writing in DNA in July sounds insane, primitive and absurd. Swamy has brought disrepute to Harvard.

Totally disagree with these comments.What Dr.Swamy has said is bitter truth.All the patriots should welcome his statement. India and more so Hindus are most tolerant society. Conversion into Muslims and Christianity should be be made illegal awarding severe punishment. It is unbecoming of Harvard university to criticize Dr.Swamy. Good sense should prevail and university should not loose faculty like Dr.Swamy
