Went too far !!!!!
by Ajith Blr on Dec 08, 2011 06:12 PM  | Hide replies

I strongly condemn the article placed by Dr Swamy in a a daily. At the same time the petitioners and University went too far, they virtualy silenced Dr Swamy whose article was on the context of bomb blasts.. At the same time articles condoning Maoist Masscare as well as dismemberment of India (vis a vis Kashmir) are accepted on the grounds of free speach

It was another relative of Subash chandra Bose who justified the massacre committed by Pak Army againt minorities and nationalists of Bangladesh during the 1971 War.

The book was very contraversial

Harvard University 'defended' the Danish cartoonist ???

I did not know.

However, if it had really done so, then that means they defended 'free speech' against muslims, didn't they ??

In that case, how can it mean that the Congress 'funded' the Harvard university ???

Does the Congress 'fund' anything that is against muxlims ??

And, are you really aware where Harvard University is or what its standing is ??

Harvard should have tried to understand the state of mind of Mr. Swamy. His daughter has married a Muslim so he is venting out his anger by writing intellectually void and hateful articles. Harvard please give him benefit on medical grounds.

Swamy Bringing Shame to Hindus
by Bigtribe on Dec 08, 2011 06:03 PM  | Hide replies

Swamy is a brahmin is inherently divisive. Instigating hatred to drive Indian muslims .

This is how brahmins divided Indians into castes and try to dominate. This is not the culture of India. India has never been a hindu state in the history. Swamy trying to poison the communities by supporting hindutva ideology.

Ideology such as Swamy has no place in Indian or in the society. Swamy gone insane and openly articulating such ideologies.

Good that Harvard took note of it and shunned him from its league.

A litte info on Sugata Bose's better half
by Argumentative Indian on Dec 08, 2011 05:50 PM  | Hide replies

A little snippet from Wikipedia about Sugata Bose's wife, a Pakistani American historian and intellectual, named Ayesha Jalal.

Jalal taught at Columbia University for several years during which period the number of students taking her course on Modern South Asia doubled. However, she was denied tenure in 1995 amidst great controversy. This occurred just after Jalal vociferously opposed Columbia accepting a large grant from the powerful Indian business Hinduja Group to establish a research institute for Indic studies (which has since been closed by the university). Jalal alleged that Indian and India-centric faculty "were uncomfortable with a Pakistani woman teaching Indian history" and sued Columbia claiming religious and ethnic discrimination.[1] The United States District Court for the Southern District of New York granted summary judgment in favor of Columbia and called Jalal's allegation "thin . . . but suggestive".
