This is an old saying.

Once Indian High Commissioner to Britain had said the same in a formal function when the the then British PM Margaret Thatcher too was sitting on the dais.

Soon upon the High Commissioner mentioning this, Lady Thatcher got up to her heels and rebuked the High Commissioner stating that his statement implies Women by nature are not courageous.

Indian High Commissioner fumbled and mumbled and ate back all what he had said.

One has to agree with Margaret Thatcher, lest we all are silently agreeing that our mothers, sisters, daughters and wives are not courageous which is downright ridiculous

Well, the current Indian President doesnt look different except a moving tent with a curtain open

Some are cultural issues but they are not commentaries on civilisation.

Even the Western brides wear veils. Dont they?

There is bitterness in pakistan over their defeat but biggest gain for india is that it does not have to protect itself from two fronts and has a much smaller enemy to manage.

She is the one who made India strong in the eyes of the world;
India would not have been a nuclear state without her inner strength.
