This is an old saying.
Once Indian High Commissioner to Britain had said the same in a formal function when the the then British PM Margaret Thatcher too was sitting on the dais.
Soon upon the High Commissioner mentioning this, Lady Thatcher got up to her heels and rebuked the High Commissioner stating that his statement implies Women by nature are not courageous.
Indian High Commissioner fumbled and mumbled and ate back all what he had said.
One has to agree with Margaret Thatcher, lest we all are silently agreeing that our mothers, sisters, daughters and wives are not courageous which is downright ridiculous

Well, the current Indian President doesnt look different except a moving tent with a curtain open
Some are cultural issues but they are not commentaries on civilisation.

This war didn't acheive anything. Bangladesh did not became our permanent friend and we earned the permanent enmity of Pakistan.The Pakistani generals have never forgotton the defeat and are carrying on proxy war and has fuelled arms race.

There is bitterness in pakistan over their defeat but biggest gain for india is that it does not have to protect itself from two fronts and has a much smaller enemy to manage.

We don't care for foe or friend. Be at your heel. But old enemy is not today's enemy . that pays. ok my friend. So is Indira's imagination.

100% correct, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi were the best PM's India ever had.
