London police did not react because they had already made a mistake by killing Duggan. During rioting they wanted to show their humane face to the world. In India, within hours of rioting 4-5 protesters would have been put to sleep by the police bullets, like they did recently in Farbisganj in Bihar. The inaction also seems to be because of the laws that require Uk government and London police to pay for the damages to establishments in case of such riots and damage. In India very few shops are insured and after arson and rioting there is no way to get back any money. Uk government tried to buy peace with insurance money and allowed the rioters to loot property.
The recent violence has come out in open NOW, but the racism WAS there since years. RNIs may not accept this in public, but hard fact is everyone knows. Britishers, since 1947 has the tendency of looking at Asains as BLACKS. And they hate blacks in every corner of the society.

You want to say that Asians, especially Indians should not be looked down as blacks by white people. Should Indians be considered as white people? This type of thinking shows why Indians are more racist against black people, especially against people of African origin.

There is a need to look at the sort of entertainment that many children in the UK are brought up on, like the American films on cable TV in which nobody ever makes anything or does anything beautiful but just kills, smashes and burns. These films are now appearing on Indian cable and satellite TV. Children in the UK can no longer take up creative hobbies like art and model-making because they are not allowed to buy sharp tools in case they stab someone and they are not allowed to buy glue, paint etc in case they breathe the fumes so as to get high. Just sit down in front of the computer or television and entertain yourself!
I think Beijing, should host the 2012 Olympic Games again and NOT racist and terrorist London. The Olympic Games, must NEVER be held in India, after the humiliation India, suffered with last-year's rubbish Commonwealth Games (British Racist Empire Games).
They must be rushing to grab OCI...But Indian government could say, Look you made a choice by rejecting Indian passport, now technically you are a foreigner.
