norm?
by Abhiram Bhat on Apr 25, 2011 06:12 PM  | Hide replies

So Is this a norm in CBI? That the culprit can refuse to appear for interrogation saying he is going abroad? If not, can CBI explain?

yes, anyone can refuse to appear before CBI ... it has no judicial powers

CBI has to request the court to obtain an arrest warrant if the person does not comply with its interrogation request.

Congress gave him enough time to destroy evidence. He was roaming entire world like a free bird destroying evidence in the past few months. Nothing will happen to him. Maybe a few months in jail at max.

he should be kept in jail, so that he cannot enjoy with the money he has earned from wrong means. he should see his life passing in jail. nothing worse than this.

Upon instructions from celestial fathers this noble soul created a paltry dent 70000 crores in the coffers of this nation. He was further told to wear very innocent looks and make speech now and then to display his patriotism and how effectively he executed the CWG at the shame of our country.
This noble man is fit for Bharat Ratna for having risen from a non cognizable Poona coffee house to an international celebrity at the helm of CWG at the instance of our government.

only one galti, really. becoming prime-minister-puppet of sonia, instead of continuing as finance minister under vajpayee, when his govt was formed.
after all mms is primarily an economist, not a politcian, of any party.

Let off Kalmadi, Raja
by Vivek Dev on Apr 25, 2011 05:36 PM  | Hide replies

Both Raja and Kalamadi should be let off for showing admirable restraint as compared to the zillions of crores the business communities have stashed in foreign accounts. This is peanuts compared to teh achievemnets of the business communities.

Eventually we will let off each one of them on some pretext. That is India. No body want to change their thinking

Business people have atleast earned that money using some level of honest means... ( I am not denying that business houses do not use il-legal and un-ethical means)...

But business houses save tax, instead of looting "aam-aadmi"'s tax directly.. and thats exactly Rajas and SKs have done.
