binayak sen bail petition
by VIKAS RAI on Apr 15, 2011 02:51 PM  | Hide replies

Why SC judges didn't give any reason to bail him out.Was there any kind of pressure on them or was there media pressure.

Supreme Court's order is puzzling. SC says on the one hand that no charge of sedtiion could be made out against Sen, and on the other hand, these observations are not on the merits of the case, which will be decided by the High Court now. In any case, the matter before the SC was only n relation only to granting bail to Sen, and not the merits of the case, and the evidence against Sen was not placed before SC. Therefore, I repeat, SC order is puzzling.

Does the Western countries have a hand in this ? The Italian insisted on having her compatriots sit in judgement over Indian judges. We indians are a pathetic spineless lot.

i do not know whether dr sen is guilty or not. i come here not to praise him or hail him. i wish that there could be more constructive drive for thinking for the state and how we are running it. dr vinayak sen and naxals are not the disease. we need to find out why someone becomes a naxal? can you get treated in a governmenthospital without paying bribe. are you safe on roads? can you get anything done without bribing the babu? is there any clean water, education, food, shelter, employment for 80 percent of the population? why? who is responsible? stop enjoying ipl and come to jantar mantar on 15th august. it is next freedom movement!god help people like dr sen if he fights for a sleeping lot like us

those are two separate questions. why someone becomes a naxal, and should naxals be eliminated or not? if you justify that naxals method is correct, then god help you.

you must like shivraj patil, he changed his dress 4 times on 26.11. you must also like imelda marcos who has 1000 pair of shoes. i am shoddily dressed. i have 4 t shirts, two pairs of jeans , 2 pairs of shoes and no other personal clothes. how can i have more when 50% of my country earns less than 20 rupees per day. when infants are dying of diarrhoea. when mothers are dying of anemia. i refuse to look swish and dress elegantly. i want to be one of them. and fyi i earned 4 lacs per month and used to work in england when i was 25. i have come back to this country and i am going to fight hard for it. so please forgive me if i am shabby. i would rather be poor and shabby than swish and dishonest or uncaring.
