BECAUSE KALMADI HAS TO MAKE LOT OF THINGS ERAZING OF IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS AND EVIDENCES.
AS YEARS TOGETHER TIME WAS GIVEN TO A RAJA FOR ERAZE OF EVIDENCES, INCLUDING MURDERING OF HIS AIDE NOWQ TREATED AS SUICIDE.

LIKEWISE SOME MORE TIME IS REQUIRED FOR KALMADI, OTHERWISE IT BECOMES INJUSTICE.

He is working hard in M'rashtra after retiring from army for people's upliftment and against corruption. He does not hv a huge bank balance. We should b greatful that he has come to the center for serving the whole country. Many people like me had lost faith that we can overcome corruption. Anna is like a ray of hope in the clouds of various and huge scams floating in the country. Anna Hazare amar rahe.

by Sanjay Thakur on Apr 10, 2011 01:46 PM

after so many scams in india and almost many countries facing the change of regime's due to corruption, it was time when india should have followed the same league ..

"ONE MAN CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE" WAS PROVED GAIN.. JUST UNITING PEOPLE FOR A CAUSE WITH HIS HUMBLE GESTURE...

CONGRESS HAD TO ACEED TO THE DEMANDS AS THE CHOICE WERE VERY LIMITED AND NEVER WANTED TO BE SEEN STANDING ON THE OTHER SIDE

WHAT IS INTRESTING IS TO BE SEEN " WHEN THIS LEGISLATION TESTS THE FLOOR OF PARLIAMANET" .. ALL PEOPLE WHOM WE CHOSE WOULD IF AT ALL BE KEEN TO PASS THE LEGISLATION KILLING THEMSELVES IN RETURN..

ITS GONNA BECOME MORE INTRETING IN TIMES TO COME..

World's largest democracy has been reduced to a joke by the corrupt politicians.

You shouldn't be proud of "World's Largest Democracy" unless you yourself are a crook and a beneficiary of the corrupt system.

Are you crazy? Or are you an enemy of the nation?

Don't you know that corruption is the single largest evil in our country? If you don't agree, you need to consult a psychiatrist immediately.

Need for overhal of criminal judicial system and Penal Code
by surinder singh on Apr 10, 2011 12:35 PM

Need of overhaul of Criminal Judicial System and IPC
In a country where acquittal rate is abysmnal low, long judicial procedure and weak penalty code, there is need of overhaul especially when we are going to have a LokPal law.
In a country of low literacy rate, the respect for law comes out of fear. But the century old Indian Penal Code and its Cr.PC has become ineffective in bringing respect or fear of law amongst the criminal class or poiticians.
In the present sceanario, there is a need for a Criminal Penalty System which should have a deterrant effect on crimes and criminals. I beg a pardon from the so called human rights NGO and Commission. For example :A condmned rapists should be circumcised and his penny cut rather sending him to jail and keep and feed him for seven years. Why public money should be spent on criminals. A pick pocket or a thieve should deprived or his finger or a hand as a token gesture from the State for commiting crimes. And in that order any politicans or enterpreneur found guilty in 2 Scam (there is a fear that the there will be fair trial or trial shall come to a conclusion) there 1000 times canning on their arses and cutting a crucial limb and confiscating of properties of guilty and their cronies. It would have an detterant effect on other criminals and politicians. Keep in mind, the more progressive and developed socieities like Singapore also has such type of penalty system then why not try them in India. In fact, keeping the

Anna as a Tool
by Desi on Apr 10, 2011 12:33 PM  | Hide replies

Anna became a tool of Madam in her game of taking the wind out of BJP and Ramdev who were leading the fight against her corrupt rule so far. Her NAC was the origonator of this bill and Anna was coopted to give this a indigenous colour. See how quickly her govt agreed- the same people who have kept Irom Sharma, on hungerstrike for last 11 years at bay suddenly developed empathy for a fasting Anna. The same media which doesn't even notice pro poor rallies having lacs of people bringing Delhi traffic at a standstill hyped 10 thousand picnic crowd gthering at Janpath (who would have run away at the first sight of a gun) as a second independence movement. Every day you willl find 3000 people there and at Gandhi Maidan Patna, anay and every ciause will get you 20000 numbers.
A nosy Lokapa hardly makes any difference to MMS either, the ex babu who has always worked under the thumb of Mdama, and in any case was one of the original signatories of the letter proposing this type of Lokpal ten years back.
All this is just to draw away our attention form the mis governance of this govt and deny the space to opposition parties. Madam will be on both sides and we will have to again face her rule by proxy.
What is needed now is real judicial and electoral reform. we already have too many laws and institutions. One more will only add to the burden and bring no help because the same set of peole will man this body also.

Not able to understand the negativity here. Are you objecting Anna hugging limelight or the issues. We are living in a society where rising issues against the political class is crushed and Anna would have met the same fate had the media and elite in the country create the plank highlighting him as a new age leader. If Sonia use him or not, as long as a good law to fight corruption comes out Anna's fight is fruitful and he deserves fullcredit. The same at a bit lower intensity happend for RTI and Sonia pushed for the law and see the impact. All the scams are coming out in last two years not because the current governmentis corrupt and earlier governements are great but because of RTI there are more ways to obtain data and expose corruption. Be realistic

I agree with Rishi's view. Today, this effort(bill)might look miniscule infront of gigantic scams and the huge number of people associated with it. But, who knows, tomorrow we'll see the fruit.

In any case, many 'unannounced' scamstars like Lalu,Pawar, Karuna etc must be trembling inside their boots!

We're on the tip, mate. Let's go deep. Once this turmoil gets over, we'll sure have a much cleaner society!

Corruption is one among the oldest vices of a human being, which cant be eradicated for evr but lets have a scoiety where people will be deadly scared for gulping money.

What I am saying is that nothing great will come out of it-- at least not what people like you expect! Both Anna and the Corrupt rule of the chosen few will prosper side by side. Faces might change but things will remain the same. We have seen it will JP movement which was alteast hundred times bigger, both in ternms of numbers and the hope it generated, than what you see now. Unless real reforms come in judicail and election nothing will change. Lokpal will be all noise but no substance. May be one Raja or two will be sacrificed when things become too hot, but the show will go pon.
